What makes an excellent forum?

Great post, Miloslaw. The fact that there are relatively few of us here adds to the charm and the intimacy. By now, we know each other pretty well and often say thing we regret. But, in the end, we know that nobody hates anyone here and it's good to know that there is a computer somewhere in Illinois that makes this forum the next best thing after the Cheers bar where everybody knows your name, fake or real.

In my opinion, the dialogue thing doesn't really work with the extremes on both ends of the political spectrum. They are always the ones who scream the loudest about free speech and how unfairly they are treated, but they have no problem to lock opponents up and suppress the free press once they are in power. That's why I am somewhat uncomfortable to give them a platform to spread their hatred and propaganda, and the chance to infect others with their ideology.


Under normal circumstances, I'm not, but in your case I'm willing to make an exception... :)

Here is an idea...
Just as we have movie ratings, we should tag threads as for men, women, kids, and totally safe spaces.
This last category would be 100% free of unkind words and unpleasant disagreements. To assure this outcome, posts could be deleted by anyone who was offended.

So that guy Carlson was born in Ostrołęka, right? And Shapiro celebrates Polish wigilia with his numerous friends from Bielsko Biała. Aha ...

As for ideas for an excellent Polish forum, I'm sick and tired of reading about things not connected to Poland at all.

Absolutely Kaprys - there are more posts here about Muslims, gays, gun crime, Trumps wall etc. I think that the rule should be 50 percent of your posts have to be about Poland.

Also suggest that there is a ban for people who divert more than say 5 threads from the purpose - sometimes threads swerve after 50 postings but Rich and Dirk will normally bring up some alt right or Moscow talking point within 5 posts, people take their normal sides and the thread is no longer about Poland.

Agreed strongly. It (especially the obsession with immigration) lowers things. Some post extreme things to annoy, and threads go off topic. We could of course ignore them, however trolls hate being ignored and post inflammatory stuff to get a reaction.

And that is precisely my point - this is a thread about how to improve the forum and you want to discuss the definition of something you already understand.

This has become the most visible feature of the PF as of lately - every, virtually every thread is stolen away for a drift into a discussion about Muslim immigration and how to fight it. An obsession - clearly an unhealthy obsession of the worst kind bordering a serious mental illness - displayed by the usual suspects has made many of the old forum members leave. And when you add to the said obsession another one on gay people which is proudly presented by the very same suspects, you get the full picture.

I may understand Weimarer who limits his complains about immigration to the country of Germany as he lives there and Germany is naturally what matters to him the most. But I am unable to understand people who - living thousands of miles away from here - have chosen Poland as a center of their anti-immigration and anti-gay phobias. As someone living in Poland, I may only say that these two issues are of marginal interest among the majority of people living here. Except for a handful of right-wing extremists nobody in Poland is moving around Polish towns and countryside occupying themselves with incessant thoughts on gay marriage and Muslim immigration to Europe.

I am not bothered at all about gays,blacks Muslims or latinos while living here in Poland, but do you guys feel it's ok for me to hate and harp on about Nazis and Soviets, must admit it's hard to find a Nazi to pick on these days.

The gay thing in Poland is ongoing, but that's been around hundreds of years and is no big deal in day to day life, and no one is really that bothered.

Because Poland is doing everything humanly possible to keep the muslim and the black scum away. So much so that it gets into a pissing contest with the EU and Germany and is threatened with penalties if it does not share in the smelly catch of the day. That's why.

Why are we so forceful and in your face? It's because we have a better perspective from our own experience in what happens when you let human garbage in. In just one generation, we no longer recognize our own country. In NY, they speak 200 languages in their schools. You think it's cheap or good for the US?

You seem to believe that calling Latinos human garbage and Muslims animals is normal behavior. It's not.

So no need to talk about it here, We don't want to hear about your American issues, they will never occur here, talk about Poland,this is what the forum is about.

So maybe the best way to improve the forum is to be more rigourous about moving US stuff to the US tthread and Muslim stuff to the Europe thread - that's what being done.

I think that owner of this web site and his gloriously beautiful wife have to have more sections of this forum. Special sections that promote independence of Poles, business in Poland, celebrate inter-Slavic relationship, spread Slavic (ie Sarmatian) mythology and legends, and etc in that sense.

Yep cos non of that stuff figures in Poland.

Oh and the need for a gun here lol, If only they visited for a few months.
