New Poland's naturist FB page for expats and other English speakers

I have just started a FB page for expats and other English speakers who would like to become involved in naturism in Poland. It is a page which will provide information about where one can take part in naturism and how to get your foot into the Polish naturist scene. Look for English speaking naturists in FB and encourage all your friends to join.

New Poland's naturist FB page for expats

Expats? A person who has a contract to work in Poland for several moths is surely going to be active naturist...

Polish naturist scene.

Is this very popular in Poland then? Being such a conservative country on the whole, I wouldn't have thought it would be.

Is this very popular

In any country you always get a lunatic fringe -- nudists, bungee jumpers,
sado-maso, voyeurs, you name it!

Huge.... :)

Lazy, Rowy, Wisla somewhere south of Warsaw, Krakow lakes.... ..Not my cup of tea, and I suppose dog would be barred in case he is frightened by all the swinging parts and decides it's all a part of some biting game.

lunatic fringe -- nudists

I certainly wouldn't say naturists are part of a lunatic fringe, that's a bit OTT.

Doesn't bear thinking about ;)

I'm sure there are designated places for naturists Gumishu, such as certain beaches maybe? No-one is suggesting people walk around the streets naked. I'm sure you would be arrested for indecency, just as you would be here in the UK.

I just don't happen to think the term 'loonies' to describe them is accurate.

what do you need walking naked outdoors for - what kind of pleasure does it provide - is it necessary for living - how strange it must be to be a person who is uncomfortable in clothes

I wouldn't know Gumishu because I'm not a naturist, but it obviously appeals to some people, otherwise there wouldn't be a Polish naturist scene would there?

I was just curious to know how popular it is in a largely conservative country, that's all.

Poland is not Iran you know - there have been nudist beaches for some time even in communist times

Do you live in Tri-City gumishu? I only ask, because they are a bigoted lot, and have no concept of how to mind their own business. What has it got to do with you that naturists want to take their clothes off? Aren't your pair of binoculars powerful enough?

Might I suggest that we all go and do our thing and leave the OP (who is a friend of mine) and others to get on with their interests. Now, isn't that a better idea than being scummy?

walking around naked is not 'your own business' for the most part - what nudists want is priviledges

walking around naked

We've just had this - naturists have their own areas, set up either within their associations, or with or through local government co-operation. The general public are either warned off or are in the know.

Unfortunately there are some gay meeting spots which should really be fenced off so as not to frighten the horses (one in Katowice Ligota.....)

If you want government legislation against all freedom of expression, try parts of Russia.

Otherwise.................:)

Try Pogoria 4 in Dabrowa Gornica - we can all see that you are actually rather fascinated by the concept. I would wait until next June though; that wind doesn't half put it up 'em.

Okay, I name it: teabaggers, Bible thumpers, gun nuts, birthers, preppers, Sarah Palin ... LOL!

I can't believe that you count nudists as a lunatic fringe element. Is a mixed sauna evil as well? I know that many Americans are extremely prude, but I didn't know that you guys are THAT afraid of human skin.

extremely prude

Personal modesty and decency are not prudery but a sign of decorum, restraint and good taste.
There are even laws against indecent exposure. Shamelessness is not a virtue -- it is cheap exhibitionism.

Yes, very much so, and has been for many years. There are quite a few very well used official and semi-official naturist beaches in Poland. Usually very civilised places.

I suppose dog would be barred in case he is frightened by all the swinging parts and decides it's all a part of some biting game.

I only took mine once. He found a particular part of some sunbathing ladies just that bit too interesting for his wet nose and slobbery tongue.

Some people are very repressed indeed. Naturism's still popular though. If someone is so screwed up in the head that it upsets them, they can just go to the 95% of beaches where people wear bathing costumes instead.

As there are in probably every country.

Thanks for answering my question Jon, nice to have a non hysterical answer on this!

Exactly. It's personal choice. No-one has to see naturists if they don't want to.

Some people are so Ignorant. Naturism is not about walking around the streets naked, its not about exposing yourself to others. As dougpol said, we have our own designated places where we don't expect to see any 'Textiles'. If Textiles go there, its usually to perve and guess what, its usually single men. My wife has learned to just shrug it off and see those perverts as people with problems.

My kids are involved in the naturist scene in Poland too, every year they go for a camp with other kids. Lo and behold they are normal and have a healther attitude to the human body than their classmates. I dont even encourage them to go, they are always asking me when the next camp is. My daughter hates clothes and she plays up when she has to wear them.

I think it is much healthier than the Religious attitude that prevails in Poland at the moment, the bigots of PiS who are putting Poland back 20 years

Don't ask but better have some loo paper on hand to clean it up (LOL)!

My goodness me, Pol! At your Church, it must be a riot if all of them are like you ;). Maybe I need to start attending to get good laughs ;). In terms of paper, best to avoid grey paper (still sold? I have not seen any for years in stores where I go to or I may go to the "wrong" stores ;)) since it does not clean anything, it just rub the sh@@@@ all over the butt.

Well, I suppose that naturists don't care about "modern civilization" and don't need mobile phones. If they want to talk to someone, they just meet them....

You need to attend a group training seminar! Practice makes perfect!

watch naked women

Voyeurism (being a peeping tom) is a punishable offence in some places and according to Catholic teaching -- a sin.
