Meeting Fellow "Language Scholars" Travelling to Poland

I travel to Poland every year for about 3 weeks, because I enjoy practicing my Polish
there and learning more. I speak at perhaps an "intermediate" level. There are no Polish
speaking people where I live, so I usually travel solo. It would surely be more enjoyable
to travel to Poland with another American who shares my love of the Polish language.
Am I the only person who finds himself in this kind of situation?

I'm a bona fide Polonophile, Navigator1, have been for years!

When you get past the imposing-looking grammar arsenal, it's actually more precise than English
plus a hell of a lot more phonetically transparent:-)

What kind of progress do you make with every stay of yours? Is it only "practicing" things you had learned before a visit or are you able to learn new things as well?

It is actually hard to learn new things without being totally immersed which means living in the foreign country and not only visiting it for a relatively short period of time. Thus, in my view, such a stay would mostly mean practicing things that you have already learned.
