I read somewhere that on Wednesday evenings, some meet up at the Budda Bar off the Main Square.

Yes, I continue to host the English Language Club every Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at Budda on the rynek near ul. Sienna. For several years I hosted these meetings at a different location that you may have heard about, but we had to move in October, 2013 and we've met at Budda Bar since then. Anybody can join the meeting to meet English-speakers and speak English. You don't have to be a native speaker or expat, just participate and speak English. Look for the sign saying "English Meeting".

I've started promoting a different English-speaking meeting. I don't recommend Budda any more. Actually, there are a few regular events in Krakow advertised as places to meet English-speakers. My English meetings are different in that everybody actually speaks English, and the meetings are conversation-centric instead of beer-centric. For now I'm not posting the details publicly anywhere. If you might like to join, please send me a private message.
