Inheritance: Dual citizenship (Australia) but no Polish will

Hi

My family has dual citizenship (Polish and Australian). My father recently passed away and he left behind an australian will which stated that any asset under his name shall be passed on to my mother when he passes. However, he did not leave behind a Polish will. My family has some real estate in poland (under his name only, as well as jointly owned with my mother).

Is the australian will valid in Poland?

If not, what happens to the Polish assets?

Can anyone recommend any good and english speaking lawyers in krakow (or warsaw) that can help with this. I am happy to pay for quality. Would prefer a firm as opposed to small practice.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

I don't know but if not then you will have to go to court and you will get what is yours for sure, at least it worked in my case. Don't warry.

Yes. You need to go through a court process to transfer the ownership. I'm about to PM you the name of a lawyer I can recommend.
