there is not much we can tell you that you cannot find via your erasmus officers in your home college. they will give you the contacts for the university you wish to study in and you will find better information suitable for your query.

I don't ask about contacts and don't trying to make contacts because I already have one:

Wroclaw University of Technology.

My questions are generally about Poland and Wroclaw actually,as many other friends(we are four friends considering to come)

What is the rate of English(as a foreign language) speaking people in Poland? I mean, will our comminication be easy?

How is the city of Wroclaw and the university? Is it a well-known university in Poland?

Is the city developed in industry?

What are the characteristics of this city and people of there?

Are there many Erasmus students or foreigners in the city?

As you see,my questions are about Poland and Wroclaw. So everybody can write answers to the topic.

Finally I will look forward to talk with someone who are from Wroclaw. Is there any?

Few people are really fluent, but most of young people understand basic things.

Politechnika ? It's maybe not the best, but definately quite good.

Is the city developed in industry?

In last years It's the second (after Warsaw) fastest developing city in Poland.

I'm not, but there are some on the forum.

Khan, i'll answer to only two of your questions because Grzegorz answered for the rest and I don't want double it. You asked what are the characteristics of this city and people of there? In few words: Wroclaw is often called a polish Venice - we have more than 100 bridges in our city because of river Odra which flow through the city. Besides we have here a lot of beautiful places with many climatic (with an uniqe atmosphere) pubs (I recommend you one them, called Mleczarnia by the Wlodkowica street), lots of cinemas and theaters. There are a lot of parks too, so you can have a rest on a fresh air, if the wheather allow to do it of course :) People in Wroclaw are very friendly, especial students. I recommend you to find living room near Wittigowo (it's by the Wroblewskiego street) - it's a camp of study houses (without comment :)) or Grunwaldzki square (there are a lot of study houses too). I'm sure that you don't waste your time if you come to Wroclaw :)

You asked are there many Erasmus students or foreigners in the city? The answer is: YES YES YES! You will have an ocasion to meet people from many many coutries.

Politechnika ? It's maybe not the best, but definately quite good.

I am not sure how is it now, but at the time I was studying at the Wrocław University (3yrs ago), the Polytechnics was in the top three technical unis in Poland.

Plus, Wrocław is the most brilliant city to go to. Student life is vibrant, the city itself beautiful and exciting... Definitely go, Khan!

Polytechnics

and now, something completely different:

officially, Politechnika translates to University of Technology
used to be called Technical Univ. but some wise guys have introduced the correct naming of those institutions
