I know about Warszawa and Polka, as well as J&T Market and Deli. Anything else come to mind?

I haven't tried enough of the food to be able to compare it adequately but I've absolutely loved the Polish food that I've tried. If I go to a restaurant that has a variety of foods, I'll order the Polish food because I like it better. I even tried Polish chocolate cake and it was the best chocolate cake ever because it wasn't too sweet but it was very rich. I plan to go to the different Polish deli's and restaurants in L.A. to see what they're like.

My favorite food is from India, though.

What about you? How do you think it compares to other foods?

Helen, have you looked at the lapolonia.com website?

Polish restaurant 'Warszawa' in Santa Monica (restaurant and pub), and Polish deli 'Ted's Deli' (or something similar) also in Santa Monica.

You probably will find both in the link provided by Derek.

I read an article about a restaurant in Orange County (the only one in the area)

There's also the annual film festival. There was one a few months ago.

Sadly, the Polish restaurant is now long gone, over 3+ years. The location is now a Mexican restaurant. They needed another Mexican restaurant in that vicinity, like they needed a hole in the head!

Really? I guess, it is too late. What a pity.Did they relocate or shut down? I only know of 2 Polish restaurants, Polka in Eagle Rock and Warszawa in Santa Monica. I have tried to convince my friends to go with me but no one seems to be interested or they are too busy.

I am interested in different types of ethnic cuisine but not many of my friends are or they don't know much about this. Usually, what happens is I venture out on my own.

They shut down. The actual name of the restaurant was Mr. Smoke BBQ. I know... it wasn't much of a name for a Polish restaurant.

There's a restaurant in San Bernardino, called Gazzolo's. The owners are Polish & Italian. They serve homemade Polish kielbasa, made on the premises. Their delicious food is to die for.

As far as I know Warszawa Restaurant is still open for business. I'm not familiar with the other restaurants. They're all located very far from where I live.
