I Need Recommendations (US cell phone contract)

It's time for me to renew my cell phone contract, and I would like to upgrade to a nicer phone with internet capabilities. Can anyone recommend a good phone that is internet savvy? Thanks

What provider do you have? I work for Cingular...so maybe I can make a few recommendations.

well tell us where you live for starters. are you in Canada, USA, Poland, UK, India, Saudi Arabia???? I love when ppl ask such vague questions. *insert sarcasm*

I truly don't think it matters where I live when it comes to finding out about a brand of cell phone---I wasn't asking about providers, smart a**!

Ranj. What exactly are you looking to do? Are you an email fanatic..instant messaging? Or do you need it for just downloading pics and music?

The LG CU500 is a pretty cool phone. It's one of our new phones. The internet speed is a lot faster than out others. You'll just have to see if you're market supports the technology. I use the Motorola Sliver and I have no complaints. I don't use the internet much though. The Nokia E62 is compatible with microsoft apps...Or a Blackberry if you like to email all day :)

Thanks Fisz, I actually was looking at the Nokia E62 and the Blackberry 7290. I'm a little confused as far as the capabilities, for example, would both allow me to check and send e-mail if I were in another country (Jamaica for example) or would it depend on the capabilities in Jamaica? I'm very ingnorant when it comes to electronics, so any help you can give me is appreciated. Also, I want to call and receive calls iternationally, so is there a package you could recommend, since I'm with Cingular?:)

yes. As long as you're roaming in a network that can support the data functionality. I have no problems in Poland. You'll have to get an international dialing and roaming feature. If you're calling over there a lot you may want to get the Enhanced discounted feature for about 4$ or something.

Thanks. Is there one you would recommend over the other? I noticed the Nokia has EDGE connectability. Is that better than what the Blackberry has?
