Polish communities in Northern Utah?

are there any "polish" communities in northern utah. in all my life, 17 yrs, i have never met anyone else that was polish. i have lived in northern utah, and boise idaho for all my life.

Poland is pefect but on and off I think is better stay here then UTAH

so has anyone ever been to utah

Yeah too many Mormons trying to force you into their church. They are even in Poland now.

well, i hate that too. but utah isn't all mormon. best ski in the world. not that i like to ski, but me and my friends hand out all the time. people think that utah is boring. if you don;t know where to go maybe, but you just have to give it a chance like anywhere else.

I have only been to Salt Lake city, But I drove through Utah it is beautiful. And anywhere can get boring if you let it. I guess the Mormons have powerful press, I don't really care if people are or not Mormon as long as they don't try to convert me or say I'll go to hell if i don't believe the same as them.

I never heard of any out there either.. I think the majority stayed north.. but I know
texas and colorado and california do have polish communities. perhaps arizona..

do a google.. there might be something.

I come from a Polish-American family in Philadelphia, from a very European ethnic area:
Poles, Irish, Germans, Italians etc...anyway my mother, who is very involved in Polish-
American activities through the church & social organizations, marches in the Pulaski Day
Parade every year etc, moved to Utah with my sister & brother-in-law about 15 years
ago...she did this because my cousin, who is an architect & vice-president of some Wal-
Mart type chain, convinced her that it would be wonderful for her to live in the beautiful
environment of Utah, what with mountains, the Great Salt Lake & so on...so she took
visit, became enchanted, and sold the house we grew up in here in Philadelphia...she
moved out there in about 1994...she bought a new house outside of Salt Lake City, and
my sister & brother-in-law moved in with her (my cousin helped them get jobs)...well, in
about two years, even though the mountains were nice, they became so sick of the Mormons that they sold the house and moved back here...if you are not a Mormon, forget about any social activities or any advancement in job status.etc...unless, of course, you are a Mexican, the second largest group there...then you can clean up after

the Mormons: work on their homes, haul their trash and so on...I don't think Utah is
a good place for any European ethnic American who is used to the culture of a city like
NY, Chicago, Philadelphia...

this dont surprise me at all. now if we came there with 10 husbands all polish and
said here is our family of 50 kids, the women might be more accepting because we
changed the face of mormonhood :)

why should the men get all the attention?? I want 10 hubbys, the grass would always be cut.. the yard would be clean, money coming in left and right and lots of attention

i have been traveled all of utah, but haven't really heard of any Polish communities there...and youre right, utah is not a boring place, is absolutely beautiful. as for the church of latter day saints, people get the wrong idea about their religion practices, because of all the negative stereotypes. The culture is a lot different than how it is portrayed by the media and such. If you're really looking for a Polish community, come to CT or NY, we're like termites up here...
