Cjjc, if you bought and sold a laptop, is the guarantee still valid?.

Possibly not, Dependant on the manufacturer I'm sure. I can always say if there is any problem I'd be happy to get it repaired in the UK as long as I pay no costs.

The guarantee is valid for good electronic shops which do sell in both countries. Make sure buying the thing you have asked assistant in the shop. My friend has bought a laptop in Turkey and used guarantee in UK. I plan to do get laptop in England so I found out.

good electronic shops

This is my experience also. My friend bought a laptop in the UK and had a problem when he got home to Slovakia however there was no problem getting it repaired at his local branch.

---

I think I may do it, even if I only make £75... £75 x 5 = 375zł give or take, it will buy me plenty of Tyskie.

I reckon you will make more money buying certain makes of car in the UK , then selling them in Poland for spare parts....A friend of mine in Poland needs a new engine for his bmw , i could buy the whole car in UK for much less than its going to cost him for parts in Poland....i see a market there....!

I hear baked beans are in demand. Heinz, specifically.

Well I shall have to be the orchestrator I'm afraid as I don't drive! I can however set it all up with your help.

Are we using your farm as a chop shop?

chop shop?

Well i have a Harley...but its not a chopper....but yes , plenty of room here to store a few motors , mind you i think it would be better to sell the whole car to anyone wanting bits , and i could probably find a mechanic who could convert right hand drive to left hooker , but that might make the car not such a bargain price , and the Poles might have problems getting it passed the mot if converted...probably better i just find a local garage willing to take the cars for cash and then break them for parts....I have done the breaking myself , its a pain...some parts sell really quickly , but you end up with a yard full of skeletal remains , and have to wait sometimes a while to get your money invested back...Better i think sell the whole car , let somebody else get stuck with the crap....Mind you , saying that , scrap metal is worth money in Poland , and much easier to get rid of...not like in UK where you have to pay to get rid of a dead car...PM me for my email address....

The fags issue I explored. I used to go home every summer with 2 suitcases full of fags by bus and the driver would chuck them under the bus and noone was any the wiser. 3 yrs ago 200 fags cost 15 quid here and I could sell them back home for 35 easily, in fact they were biting my hand off for them. I even bought myself a high viz and helmet so i could sell them on a building site. The music festivals are a good market too.

Now its not worth my while as a box of 200 Benson and hedges is retailing at around 100 zl and with the fall of the pound it would barely cover the bus fare.

Give it a go, the local factory workers will love you

I didn't take anything in the end. I didn't have time and I was lazy!

Lots of ideas for next time though!
