Hundreds of lorry drivers from all over the country have joined a protest in London against the rocketing cost of fuel which many say is threatening their livelihoods.

Yeah, I'm afraid. Fuel has that strange feature that it always gets more and more expensive, never cheaper :(

it got cheaper in the mid-late 90s.

it also became cheaper a few years after the embargo of '72.

Perhaps in the US. But for me it's far, far away and I live in Britain (in Poland it's not any better, though).

It's been said that the government can afford to lower the price by 12p a litre and STILL make a profit. They won't do it because they want us off the roads.

all countries should do this. govts wont step up to the plate because prob
most of them own stock in oil..
