Well, I was there on vacation with my sister and parents. It would be kind of skanky if I did LOL!

UK is a nice region, but I don't know if I'd say its the best in the world :)

Best thing is sense of humour - especially sarcasm!

Oh yeah, the sarcasm is the flipping best.

The irony ain't so bad either.

It's not so much sarcasm for sarcasm's sake but it's skilfully done. Some sarcasm is distasteful and often patronising but, done in the quintessentially British way, is art.

but that is whats great about it, it has to be clever or its just stupid, if you get what i mean....?

Quite a fine line for those whose 'humour orientation' is not that way. U need a certain wiring to get it. I was raised on it so its second nature to me. I get what u mean cazza

how can you say that, ur just one of those poncy doo gooders that is too scared to stick up for your rights so you take the immigrants side, i agree, the country is a dive BECAUSE OF THEM! tell me why we should pay for them.

1, their craphole of a country, not our problem
2, we have paid OUR taxes for ourseles, NOT THEM ASWELL.

they come here for a ' better life' as they are all so hard done by driving around in their new cars (cry me a river) they come in groups with their families and friends, they do not socialise with british, they cant be bothered to learn our language ( thats the least they can do) what use are they to us really? they are so poor they come here and open polski skleps on every other street (my violins playing). They only eat THEIR FOOD. if they want this then they can **** off back as no one ants them here. They are hardfaced, rude and just a bunch of time wasters and OUR money is being wasted on them. If your happy paying for them all you write to your MP and request that...which I very much doubt you will

Thank You for helping our country go down the pan

Although I certainly dont agree with everything SOS has listed on this and other threads i totally sympathise with the man. He is one of a growing number of British citizens expressing resentment for the mass influx of immigrants. I say immigrants because of course we are not singling out one nation here.

Predominantly the huge influx of immigrants over the past 4 years has been Polish and believe me there were 10's of thousands of illegal Polish immigrants living and working in Britian prior to May 2004 its just that they kept a low profile.

What is Mr Brit (lower class) labour worker supposed to do when he is being undercut by cheap immigrant labour?

Who uses this lower priced labour though? No doubt a lot of people on lower incomes. I'm sure it's very trendy to blame it all on the middle classes but at the end of the day, working class people are taking advantage of low price labour and undercutting themselves every time they buy a sandwich from the supermarket.

Can you explain your opinion in a bit more detail? I'm not quite getting the jist of what you mean.

What is Mr Brit (lower class) labour worker supposed to do when he is being undercut by cheap immigrant labour?

Develop skills which enable him to do a job which can't be done by cheap immigrant labour?

Most of the time you do

OK for the rest of you - Poles (foreigners) come to the UK and the majority get low paying jobs like making sandwiches for supermarkets, picking fruit or assembling boxes in factories. This displaces British labour, no? I contend that the main consumer for these services will not only be the middle classes but the working classes who are being displaced by the influx, since these are price-led sectors.

Therefore, there's no use complaining that Poles etc are displacing working class labour if working class (and middle class) people are paying them to do so. QED

What if he likes brick laying, van driving, plastering, painting/decorating. What if he doesn't have the intelligence to study. Thats a rediculous statement.

So im a Chef (which i used to be actually) with a passion for food ive studied and worked within the industry for 10 years (which i didn't) and then 1000's of Polish chefs come to England and are being employed for half my wages. What do i do? become a computer programmer?

I used to work in recruitment in England and I had well over 200 poles working for me in various factories and warehouses.

First of all the feedback from the managers and owners about the staff 90% of the time was great. Had working and never complained.

The fact of the matter is companies in England employ whoever is going to work for the least, thats jsut basic maths.

But if you think that if no poles lived in england that the company would just employ english for more money then you are wrong. They will do what so many already have, they will sell there land in england (for a fortune) and setup in eastern - central europe where they have the labour on tap, land is cheaper and even if they ship there product back to england they are still making more money.

So english people are welcome to work in these factories in England but most who would have too prefer to sit on the couch and claim benifits. But without the polish working for this wage the factories and there management positions and all that comes with it would up and leave. And there would be now lower class work left for anyone

We have a future Bill Gates here.

Who would they employ?

central europe where they have the labour on tap

Not any more mate

land is cheaper and even if they ship there product back to england they are still making more money.

This guy really majored in Monopoly

So english people are welcome to work in these factories in England but most who would have too prefer to sit on the couch and claim benifits

Lazy people in every country even Poland

But without the polish working for this wage the factories and there management positions and all that comes with it would up and leave.

Ive also done a fair amount of agency work in my time in between studies, never ever experienced a shortage in British labour. Also if a company doesn't have the low grade staff on the ground to make them prosperous how the hell are they going to re-finance setting up in a foreign distant land?

And there would be now lower class work left for anyone

and finally at the end of this lesson the painful conclusion, reckon your directly affected by the immigration issue. You have all the answers.

No QED. The services provided are provided by companies for which an individual consumer does not have have the power to select the ethnicity of the workforce. The consumer doesnt make these decisions, the management of the service provider does.

I live in Wales and whilst I'm not sure that it is any better than any other place in the world I love it because it's home. I find that loving wales is like supporting a welsh football team... you know it has many faults and will probably never be very successful but you couldn't support anywhere else. But hey there are good and bad things about all countries and all nations and sometimes I find Wales boring dreary and most certainly wet but it's the land of my fathers so,.....

Here we go again....
Millions of Brits have poured into Spain,NZ,Australia,USA etc and losers are moaning about the Poles who come to Britain, work hard, pay taxes, don't get scroungers benefits and do the jobs that locals think they are too good for.
