I know there is the Arsenal Goalkeeper - however are there any others that are well known??

I am looking for a Polish compare to host an event?

As I remember some famous Polish singers may still live in London. Edyta Gorniak or Anita Lipnicka, for example.

Tomasz Kuszczak is the Arsenal goalkeeper. You may add Agata Wrobel (former weight-lifter champion) to the sports people.
