I was shocked when I was told that in Ireland Irish National TV (or something like that) gave Poles live broadcast from Handball Matches World Cup Germany (Poland-Denmark 1/2 final and final Poland-Germany).

Well I must say Ireland took care Poles like a good mother what is more in Poland there was no live coverage in Polish National TV so not everyone in Poland could watch the games but Poles in Ireland could!

GREAT! GREAT! What a pity that Germany are our neighbors and not Eire

The final got about 5 milion viewers (rathr low number) on POLSAT, which is I think available almost everywhere in PL at no cost. More people were watching skijumping Malysz victory happening at the same time on TVP1 (public television).

RTE = Radio Telefis Erin....spelling is suspect....:)

As you know...Polish is now the second most widely spoken language in Ireland.......so give the viewers what they want!

This match final Poland - Germany was probably fixed. Many players (especially Lijewski, Jurasik) and coach Wenta did everything to did not win the match. 12 of 14 players play in Bundesliga. Wenta in the final was very soft on the bench, just compare his attitude from 1/2 and 1/4 with the final match, and a disaster performance of players is a huge surprise, Germany had to win this despite that Poles were better team.
