OK who do you think you get the better deal from, im with Orange and have been for 13 months now. But thinking of changing to Tiscali as having problems with getting customer services most times, and they keep you hanging on.

i know it is a problem

I have to admit Tam's when Wanadoo had it, they were brilliant, but since Orange has it now, no end of people hate Orange, as they aint happy with there service. There back up facilities are rubbish, it just seems like all big companies, it just about profit. I dont want to go somewhere else, but there pushing customers out that way.

Tam's how come i cant get you on MSN

I'm also with Orange and have been suffering from poor connections recently. I rang their customer services and had a rant about their poor service. The girl was very pleasant and offered me two free months.......................it turned out she was Polish and has a few friends who also work in the call centre.

Have been with NTL for about 6 years now. It's not perfect, but the deal is honest. None of this limited download BS that creeps into so called "good deals" (don't know about Orange though. Haven't checked).

Currently I pay £30 quid a month.
This includes telephone rental, set top box and broadband. My current download speed is 1.4 megabits per second. according to:

Downloading. But, results are variable on tht site. Infact I just got an internal server error back from the site...

Pinch of salt I guess...

Does anyone use Talk Talk ?

They've had a lot of teething problems but if they can smooth things out then this could be a superb tariff.

I think it's about £ 21.00 per month which also includes free national and international calls to many countries.

As far as I know gadu-gadu is completely free - it's like msn messenger for example. More on gadu gadu.

yes Gadu Gadu is totally free and is an instant messaging service like MSN or Yahoo. A lot of Poles prefer to use this instead of the other two.

I downloaded it once but couldn't configure it as everything was in Polish :(

Skype is fantastic ! I talk every day to my friends in Poland for free.

TLEN is another and IMO a better instant messaging service that is popular in Poland. Its server is more stable and you can talk to Gadu Gadu people through it as well.

If you want every option covered, try GAIM messenger client. It's free and available for Windows and Linux. I have only tried the Linux version.

Gaim is quite good, i run it on both Windows and Linux. It means you can log into AOL, Yahoo and MSN, GOOGLETALK etc ..

Pardon my ignorance but how do you use gadu gadu, ie do you ring up a number to talk to somebody etc....I take it you would need a microphone installed on your computor?

For sure you need a mike. Don't know if you need to ring a number - I guess you do.
