Hi people....

I'd like to know how much native speakers in the UK earn... let's say we are talking about big cities like London....

how much will earn guy in some hypermarket (like Tesco)? What about accountants, school teachers, nurses others?

We are talking about gross salary per year....

Is 50k GBP / yr good or very good salary in London for average English guy?

Thanks in advance :> Any links with statistics also appreciated...

Ok, one job at a time,

Hypermarket...Minimum wage. 10k a year after tax maybe less.
Accountants...24k - 35k, depends on how qualified you are.
School Teachers...30k - 60k, a complete joke since they only need to work half a year.
Nurses...starting pay is around 13k-14k, but more senior positions will earn you about 30k-35k.

50k is more that enough to live on.

if not qualified you need to do your PGCE certification in teaching which you can do if your employer is willing to take you on based on your completion of this first then do your teaching degree .... :)

average salaries depends on what you do as a job and how many hours you work a week ....
