Cześć :)
I'll be visiting Poland for the first time next month and will be meeting up with a friend, what would be the best way to get from Wroclaw to Lubin (not Lublin) and for what price?

Dziękuje!

I see on my map that there is not a rail line direct to Lubin...but there is a rail line from Wroclaw to a town called Scinawa , which is 17 kms from Lubin...maybe there would be a bus from there , or maybe its close enough for your friend to pick you up...I am afraid i have no idea what the cost of a train would be.... There is a station only a few kms north of the airport where you can get a train to Lubin...

A bus would most likely be better, heard a few horror stories about the trains (don't know how much of it is true).

Yeah i heard those too....but having travelled on a Polish train to Gdansk i am convinced they are just that...stories...My friends daughter travels alone on this train quite often , she is only 15 , she seems to have survived ok...

I am sure there will be a bus on this route , but probably not too many , probably non at night...no doubt some local Wroclaw resident on the forum will know better than me....

Yeah your most likely right,I'm just slightly nervous because this will be my first time traveling there and I'll be traveling on my own, so I obviously will stand out as I'm unfamiliar with everything.

I will check out the forum though, many thanks.

Yep. Fares are usually distance-based as opposed to being randomly set like in the UK.

As for trains - they're just stories. Use common sense and you won't run into problems - in fact, I'd be willing to say that you're more likely to encounter problems on UK trains than on Polish trains!

The best way is to go to the Bus station that is near the train station. They have a big bus and a small bus that runs very often. I lived in Lubin. You are looking at between 12 and 15pln. If you take the small bus it will drop you off near Muza and that is close to the Rynek.

There is not a good way to take the train as someone already stated.

Take the bus.

Buses from main bus station (you can find Lubin there):
wrosystem.um.wroc.pl/beta_4/webdisk/830a36b1-fcb3-4023-8049-515dce6ccb47/tablica_odjazdow_Wroclaw_Cent_16listopada.pdf

There is plenty of them. Lubin is maybe not big city, but it is important and quite rich (relatively) because of KGHM, so it is good connected.
