This year we went to Zieleniec which is near Kłodzko and Duszniki Zdroj.
It was a fantastic holiday.
There is a website with accomodation contacts.
sadly I have lost the number for a really good agrotouristic guest house just out of the vilage, but you might find it on the website. It was at Laszowka.

Poland ain't a really good place for skiing if you are used to skiing conditions in Alps. It's much better in Slovakia.. just over the border. I've been in Korbielow and Szczyrk which beside Zakopane are ones of the biggest resorts around ( and much cheaper than Zakopane ) - usually overcrowded with lots of mud, ice and pebbles covering the slopes because snow cannons can't keep up with amounts of people pushing the snow down...

There's loads of info on whitesideholidays.com about the slopes and accommodation in Zakopane. Slovakia has got a little more expensive since the Euro came in yeah but still worth a visit, it's good!!

In Poznan there is a hill with a ski-lift. Good for summer and winter.

Hello,

Definitely Zakopane and suroundings.

Zakopne is the winter and summer resort capital of Poland located in Tatra

So, there are alot of slopes there and around for all levels. Then, it isgreat for sightseeing, racket trekking, span and swimming in-and outside during winter.Atmosphere of wooden houses, market, restaurants, nightclubs, lounge bars ...polish women to meet( the best)...

Wll, Zakopane has to be your destination for that winter holidays .It is not like Alps mountain but Zakopane (slopes, market, atmosphere)has its own untypical charm to have a great holiday time .And then, there are some buses going to Slovakia if you want to follow advices of members telling you to go there. No problem, it is not far.

If you need any comfy accomodation at very affordable price, please do contact us on info@ogrodygorskie.pl after checking our websites 3x w .apart-center.pl and 3 x w .ogrodygorskie.pl.

We look forward to welcome you very soon

Going for holidays at ski chalets is a wonderful idea! Ski chalets gives the perfect holiday environment, away from the hustle and bustle of the hectic city life. Giving us time to relax and rejuvenate ourselves. If you want, you can go on a holiday at Scott Dunn Ski chalets as well. Enjoy your holidays.

Zakopane is NOT a ski resort, if you are interested in skiing, forget it. Its good for a couple of hours running up and down a single slope.

I look at Zakopane as a really nice touristic city and you can ski/board there if you like, but its not a ski resort as such. I would estimate that probably only 10% of visitors actually get out on the mountain for skiing or snowbaording.
