chocolate 2 | 4 11 Jul 2007 / #1Hello, i ll come to Poland soon. I have a friend there but she's in Krakow. I ll come from Turkey so we have flights only to Warsaw here. So i need to get to the railway station. and i have no idea how to do that. Cos i'll be in warsaw at 19.00 and last train will be 1 hour later to go to Krakow. do you think i can go to station in an hour? and my friends telling me that those places r not safe. thats also scares me a lil.. i need advices, please.. i would really apreciate if u help :)thank u so much!
szarlotka 8 | 2205 11 Jul 2007 / #2There is an airport bus from Warsaw airport to Warsaw Central Train station but one hour is pushing it. You can get a taxi that, at that time in the evening, should not take more than 20-25 minutes for about 40ZL. The central station is fine if you are just rushing to get a train but it is not the best place to hang around late at night. One hour is very tight if there is a queue in immigration at the airport.I'm sure pepole on here who live in Warsaw will give you some better advice.
OP chocolate 2 | 4 11 Jul 2007 / #3i see.. thanks for ur reply! i hope i'll manage it.. but it really makes me feel stressed cos this will be the first time i'll travel alone.. i m nervous a lil. if is there any other options please let me know..
BubbaWoo 33 | 3503 11 Jul 2007 / #4get a taxi - it makes life easier, espacially when carring bags...warsaw train station is not the nicest of places but just like everywhere, if you keep your wits about you and dont walk about like a confused tourist waiting to be mugged then you shouldnt have any problems...one hour is a bit tight and if you miss the train then you could find yourself having to sort a hotel late at night... why not just spend the night in warsaw and then get the early train to krakow the following morning...
OP chocolate 2 | 4 11 Jul 2007 / #5yes i thought of that too. i want to get to krakow as soon as possible cos i dont wanna be alone there much. but if it ll be safer then i should do that.. i feel scared tough.. :Sthanks for ur message bubbawoo!i have another question, if i would like to stay in hotel for a night in warsaw, which one i should choose.. i dont want to stay in an expensive hotel. i'll just use it to sleep..and it would be better if its close to the airport cos i dont know the ways :/ so it would be easier to find it
Grzegorz_ 51 | 6138 11 Jul 2007 / #6and last train will be 1 hour later to go to Krakow.Are you sure ?
