carlb 4 | 20 17 Sep 2008 / #1Hey,I'm trying to organise a ski trip for this winter but I don't know whether I should go to Slovakia or Poland. I've been told that polish resorts like Zakopane are over crowded in January and that you must wait in long queues for ski lifts. What are the pros and cons, and which would you recommend Slovakia or Poland?
polishgirltx 17 Sep 2008 / #3yes, as Grzegorz said... Polish Tatra mountains are beautiful, but i think that Slovakia got the prettier part...
ukpolska 18 Sep 2008 / #5We go to Strbske Pleso in Slovakia each year as the slopes are longer and it has better snow and it's only one and a half hours drive from Zakopane.

SeanBM 35 | 5,797 29 Oct 2008 / #10Here we are,I have been finding my skiing legs last winter, after not having skiied for a few years.I went to URL, if you go to camera you can see the conditions, so no surprises. And in białka there are about 15 different slopes maybe more and they have modernised. I go there to avoid the crowds of Zakopane.Anyone know where the longest slope is in Slovakia (with a lift)?

Daniela 17 Dec 2009 / #12I highly recommend Slovakia. For the best ski resorts see slovak-republic.org/ski/.
