Planning help: for trip to Grudziądz, Poland

I've never been to Poland before, never have actually left North America, and was hoping I could get some advice on how to plan my trip and what sort of sights are worth seeing while I'm there.

Anyone ever been to Grudziąc before? My family lived there before I was born, and I want to see everything they used to see every day. And since I'll be in the area I may as well check out other things /cities! ;D

So where do I start for a trip like this? I plan to be gone two weeks, tentatively in May though I may try to go closer to the summer. Any thoughts? Suggestions? The internet has too much information to sift through so maybe this will help me. ^^;;

It is a historical place with famous granaries along the banks of the river.

Look at a collection of photos: skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=326988

What would living there be like ?
How would the place compare with Gdańsk, Bydgoszcz, Poznań or Szczecin ?

Pretty boring: it is not a big place.

Of those cities you list, I'd certainly be putting Gdansk as the best place to live. Although Poznan isn't too bad either.
