I BEEN THINKING ABOUT GOING TO POLAND FOR VACATION LATELY, I WAS BORN AND RAISED HERE IN NEW YORK CITY BUT I'VE BEEN TO POLAND A FEW TIMES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, IN FACT THE LAST TIME I VISITED POLAND WAS LIKE 9 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS 11 YEARS OLD SO I NEVER GOT TO SEE POLAND THE WAY I WOULD LIKE IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN....THE IDEA OF JUST GETTING OUT OF THE U.S. YET ALONE NEW YORK FOR A WHILE IS ACTUALLY THRILLING TO ME BUT WHAT REALLY SUCKS IS THAT THIS WOULD BE A SOLO-TRIP, MEANING I WOULD BE TRAVELING ALL ALONE ONLY BECAUSE I JUST SUDDENLY DECIDED I WANT TO GO AND THAT REALLY DOESN'T GIVE ANY OF MY FRIENDS TIME TO GET READY/ ORGANIZED AND SHIT LIKE THAT.SO WHAT MY QUESTION IS WHERE IN PL. WOULD BE THE BEST PLACE I CAN GO AND I DONT WANT TO GO TO A HUGE CITY LIKE WARSAW,KRACOW CAUSE I LIVE IN A BIG CITY IM TRYIN TO HIT UP A PLACE WHERE ITS A LITTLE SMALLER,NICER,MORE YOUNGER PEOPLE,GORGEOUS WOMEN.....ANY SUGGESTIONS???

Krakow has a small town atmosphere and is definitely the place in Poland to escape from New York. IMHO

I think the areas of Zielona Gora are very nice (if you like small mountains and warm weather). If you really like the nature, you can stay in the Bieszczady area (one of the most "virgin" parts of Poland -- lots of forrests, little people). Also, Mazury (land of the Polish lakes)..

Zakopane has a lot of nice women. A bit touristy. But if you rent a car, any town is worth stopping and looking around. You can find areas to sleep along the way, there are guest houses everywhere. Really cheap. About 40 złoty a night or less - that's about $15.00 or less. Lublin has a nice castle, Zamość. Make sure you have change for the toilets. They usually charge 1.00 zł. Food is good everywhere. Gas stations are more primitive, but they are improving. Lot of small grocery stores everywhere and a big selection. Good sausages and cold meats. There are bazars or targi where you can buy everything from clothing to food. Parks are well kept.

It all depends what you are interested in.
