Visiting PL in a few months - Flying into Warsaw - then Wroclaw traveling to Krakow and then home. Want to know what are some options for getting from Wroclaw to Krakow. I have researched the train but get mixed answers on safety and reliability. How much would/should it cost to take a driver for such a trip?
Getting from Wroclaw to Krakow

very wise move... polish trains are to be avoided at all costs... very unreliable, never run on time and are relics of the 19th century... they are also frequented by bands of craven banditos who specifically target foreigners, especially americans...
get a taxi, shouldnt cost you more than $5OO... well worth it...
I disagree with the above. But then I never know what is serious and what is not on this forum.
Take the train, five hours, and possibly get robbed.
Or.
Take a cab and get totally fleeced.

$500 US?
Travel first class on the train and you'll be OK.
Usually less people, more room. If problems occur it is usually in second class, if at all.

Wroclaw to Krakow by train (or vice versa)
Apologies if this question has been asked before but I am planning on visiting Krakow and Wroclaw next month for around 7 days.
As a single female traveller who speaks no Polish I was just wondering how easy it is to get the train, how much it should cost, do I have to sit in a certain area etc.
Also should I be asking for a particular class of seat?
Also I have been to Krakow before (many years ago) but never Wroclaw and wonder how many days you should think should be spent there.
Thanks in advance.

Wroclaw to Krakow by train
Hi
Apologies if this ? has already been answered.
Basically I'm planning between 5 - 7 days in Poland next month and plan to go back to Krakow again (which I visited 5 years ago) and am thinking of also visiting Wroclaw.
Firstly do you think the 3.5 hour journey is worth it? Also how long would you generally stay in Wroclaw for? Is it the type of place that you see in half a day?
And last but not least is it easy to get a train from Wroclaw to Krakow (or vice versa) considering that I am a female travelling on my own with zero knowledge of Polish. Should I be asking for first class or not necessarily, how many trains go every day and will it be difficult to make myself understood at the station?
Thanks in advance.

It really does depend on what your interests are. A couple of days (one night) and you'll see everything that's important.
I've ridden many 2nd class trains in Poland and have never been met with anything but kindness. I'm sorry to see those negative comments above.
