Studying International Relations or European Studies in Poland?

Czesc !!!
I'm an italian student, and I just got a bachelor degree in the field of international cooperation. Now I'm considering the possibility of continuing my studies in Poland (Warsaw or Wroclaw) taking a 2years Master in International Relations or European Studies.

For me it would be totally cool, for different reasons: my girlfriend lives in Krakow, and I'm totally interested in Poland and in learning polish language.

My doubts come out if I think about it in a future perspective... does it really make sense?! I told you, for me it would be great and so on, but... what after?

In 2 years I could learn polish quite well. Could this be useful? (apart from the great personal satisfaction!!!).
And what about polish university system? How does it works?

I assume you'd like to study in English, not Polish, correct? (you'd have to know Polish really well to be able to study in Polish). The system of education in Poland is on a pretty high level and if you want you can get lots of knowledge. I'm sure in Warsaw there are many private and public schools (public universities are usually "harder" in the sense of academic level). A diploma from a Polish university should be now accepted throughout Europe so you can get a good job even in Italy if needed.

BTW - if your girlfriend lives in Krakow, why don't you find a school in Krakow? It's second best "academic city" after Warsaw...

In English of course!:) I found some interesting programmes in english at pubblic universities both in Wroclaw and Warsaw. I would love To study in Krakow!! Jagellonian University seems to be one of the best universities. But tuition fees for foreigners are horribly high there, no idea how to pay them!

How high are the fees on Jagielonski University? So they now took the model from other EU countries and overcharge foreign students? Nice...

Jagellionian is pretty reasonable compared to most colleges here in America. tuition is around 10 grand american or less per semester. I'm looking into studying in Krakow too.

Oh, that's sure...but I don't even consider the prices in the Usa! that's a different story!
In my opinion 5000 EUROS a year for a Master is totally too much!It's totally more of what I would spend in Italy and I totally don't have that money!And why they charge so much? Isn't Jagellonian a public University?

So I'm considering other universities where i can find better prices, (still high, but more reasonable).

i was studying international relations in wroclaw and could highly recommand this university, i had some really good courses... of course i was only there for 1 semester, so i don t how interesting a program of 2 years there would be. it would take 4 hours to get to krakow i think. my opinion is that studying abroad and learning another language always makes a good impression for cv etc...
