OP winnipeggurl 1 | 4 1 Apr 2008 / #5i have been to poland twice, the last time that i was there i was 12. I live in Canada. The house is located on olica olikowa. What part of town is this in?
F15guy 1 | 160 2 Apr 2008 / #6I think you probably have a very valuable piece of property. Pruszków is a suburb of Warsaw and should be really worth something. Be very careful. People will very likely try to swindle you and buy for a lot less than it's worth. Go with your mom or dad, check it out before you sell. It may well need a lot of repairs or it could be a plum piece of real estate.Olica is not the correct spelling. It's Ulica which is street in English. I don't think you have the actual name of the street because Olikowa doesn't come up. Ulica Ołówkowa does appear.Try Google maps for a starting point. Go to google by clicking the URL below:maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&tab=wlInput: Ulica Ołówkowa, Pruszków, PolandIf you know the address, put in the number as well. You don't need the Polish letters.
OP winnipeggurl 1 | 4 2 Apr 2008 / #7you are great! thanks for ALL your help, it is hard when you don't even live in the country and are miles away. People like you make the world a better place.I would love to go to poland but it is a huge trip seeing as i live in winnipeg, manitoba Canada!
James Revan 1 | 66 2 Apr 2008 / #8My home town, Ołówkowa is in the old part of the town, prices are not too high.Oh, and one thing, in poland there are 3 cities named Pruszków that i am aware of, if you mean the one near Warsaw, then probably "ołówkowa" is the right name, could be also "Oliwkowa" but if it is, then it's not my town, cause i don't think there is such a street here.
OP winnipeggurl 1 | 4 2 Apr 2008 / #10yes its the town near warsaw.... my grandparents r from here and r both deceased.
