I know what the law means. Its the governments way of selling cheap agricultural property and then placing a clause in the contract where bye they can buy it back for the price you paid within five years - no questions asked.

Im just wondering if anybody here has been caught out on this one.

How can you get "caught out" on it when it's right there in the contract?

When I bought some land I had to send off the pre-agreement to the Agriculture Agency to see if they wanted to exert their right to buy - if they didn't respond within a month or so, I could go ahead and complete the purchase. As far as I'm aware, they don't have any come back now.

I bought 6 hectares of farm land a couple of years ago and my wifes parents are using it t grow crops, however the council have informed us that this land is to be flooded to make a Lesiure facility ( Lake ). We bought the land privately and hope that since the council are a government agency that they can not buy it back for what we paid for it as I know that land prices have doubled since then.

Because you may buy a property with reassurance from your lawyer/agent what ever that they never use the Prawo Odkupu. Which they rarely do, but!

Also it is extremely hard to obtain credit with that in your Notary act and in turn the title deeds register..
