Hello! I'm an American who is engaged to a Polish girl. We both live in the US. Is it possible for me take a loan in Poland underneath her name? She doesn't have any income in Poland and the US right now.

If she owns any property in Poland, she can re-mortgage it for a loan.
Also, she can ask for a loan with you as her guarantor in case she won't be able to repay it- depends if the bank agrees to such conditions.

You'll be the subject to repayment if she doesn't keep the loan's repayment to date.

That will not be easy. There are however many banks that take foreign income into account, still not easy. 9 out of 10 banks will ask about her income, when the answer is nill you will be told that they cant help and that will be it. Even if she owns property and you apply for a secure loan they still want proof of regular income.

Why not take a loan under your own name?

You could try to do it through HSBC bank in the US in connection with HSBC in Poland. If you have an account (it is called Premiere I think) you have more freedom in moving your money abroad.

Good luck! kielbasastories.blogspot
