Hi Everybody,

Can you tell me how I could obtain a Polish Real Estate Licence?

I am a non-EU citizen who has been living and working in Krakow for almost one decade.

Best wishes,
Brett

Hello Brett,

If you are in Poland for over a decade you should be speaking good polish. That should help. You can go to this website to get all the information pfrn.pl

Generally speaking the rules have changed a bit and under the current rules you have to do a diploma for estate business which costs between 3000 to 3200 PLN. The classes are held on saturdays only, from 9 in the morning to 18:00 hours in the evening. its about 20 to 30 classes. So the diploma takes more then 5 months. Then you have to do some practical training which mostly takes anther 8 to 9 months. Hence the total process of actually getting the license takes about 15 months. I am more familiar with Warsaw so not sure which companies are offering training in Krakow. However you can just run a search on google polska and you should a list of firms in krakow.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Mash

Hey Mash,

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

I appreciate your help as I'd been looking for such a site for a little while.

I've actually been here for about 8 years and my Polish is pretty woeful I am afraid to admit. My partner speaks perfect English, English-speaking friends who are Polish and working in an English-speaking environment is no excuse :)

Thanks again, mate.

Pozdrawiam.

Brett

Hey Brecik...
I am from Bulgaria but have a permanent resident card ( hubby is a Polish guy). It's very difficult to obtain a real estate license right now. I agree with Mash, it's taking a long time to make it. Here in Gdansk I attended 3 months class, then practice 6 month, then apply to Ministry of Infrastructure to qualification to Government writing test... As a foreign I had to additional pass Government test Polish as a second language-master level. For more information you can check here...buwiwm.edu.pl/. I did past writing test which was unbelievable difficult but couldn't pass verbal test and end of the year I will have second and maybe last chance to make it.

Beginning of January 1 2008 only people with High education could obtain of real estate license.Right now are different rules, you will not have to go to Goverment tests etc...

I work as real estate agent in Gdansk and speak fluently Polish language but with a little accent. The accent make my work difficult at times, people don't trust foreigners.. It;s very interesting job and I like it, but I have to put twice more work to be on the same level as my coworkers...Every day is something different.LOL:)

Pozdrawiam!

dont see anything there related to real estate.

Yes, is it related ( I didn't know too)
If you are not Polish citizen and apply for some license or diploma,( for exm. doctor, real estate agent, building administrator and much more) you will need first to have this certificate. If you need exact information you can call there and they will explain everything.

I will try to find the link and post it .
Have a nice day:)
