Estate agent and notary public Gdansk

I'm hoping to buy a 3-bedroomed flat in Zabianka (near the beach, Sopot and SKM).

Can anyone recommend or steer me away from an estate agent and notariusz / notary public in Gdansk?

By the way, the best offer for a mortgage (200,000PLN own funds) I've had is from Dombank and that came to 150,000PLN. Does anyone know where I could beat that? I'm self-employed (in third year), been living in Poland for over ten years and have no temporary or permanent residence permit.

Thanks in advance for any wise words.

I've got not much to do with these things anymore but not so long ago Dombank had a kind of reputation: "Can't get enough cash anywhere else, go there" as they had not very restrictive credit policy, was giving a lot compared to income or value of the property but had rather high rates.

Cheers Grzegorz. Yeah, that's what I've heard. Beggars can't be choosers! I've got no problem paying it back, it's just getting the amount in the first place.

Now with all this mess in the banking sector around the world a lot of things are changing but If the priority is the least restrictive way of calculating credit ability then you could check Polbank, Santander Consumer Bank and maybe BOŚ If you haven't done It yet.

I'm hoping the banks will ease up on their requirement for long-term residency. Thanks, but the banks you mentioned all require karta stalego pobytu. I haven't got one, because there have been short breaks in my lengths of stay here since 1996.

It seems crazy that Polish people can take out a mortgage without such a document in the UK, but here, after over ten years of paying my taxes and ZUS, I'm unable to be lent money by the majority of banks! That's why Dombank's the main option. Any port in a storm.

Not sure if you are still looking for a notary - i work in Sopot for a property company so we are always using them and we have a great one in Gdansk.

If you email me directly on r.walters@invessa.pl I can send the details.

I heard Danske Bank are pretty good these days for loans, otherwise have you tried the brokers like Open Finance and Golden Egg?

Agents ? They are all terrible in my experience but ACME ((maybe spelt AKME) in Sopot might turn out to be Ok and are local.

Cheers
