Hi from Greece. I just discovered this forum. I'm interested to learn your opinion about Greece and specially for the Hellenic Histrory. Do you learn something about it in Polish schools?

Kind regards to our EU and NATO allies.

It has become easier to visit Greece with the Eu membership I think. Also immigrants can live better and without document/visa problems now. There are Polish stores, pubs etc in Athens. Also i know that Polish immigrants have one of the lowest criminal rates in Greece so i think that you must be proud for them.

Haven't visited, is on my to do list though!

i will try to send some photos.

I will send 2 other short messages for the Hellenic History.

[i]The Battle of Thermopylae

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae

note- Ephialtes was a Spartan traitor. In modern Greek Ephialtes means ''nightmare''.

note-Battle of Greece continued with Battle of Crete.

We have been to Zakinthos, it is where the Greeks get away from the tourists on
the mainland. Relatives told us about it. The town of Zakinthos has a hotel there;
make sure you ask for misquito deterants. Otherwise you will be smacking them
all night and leave blood spots on the walls. LOL Don't be afraid to go off the
beaten track either, residents are friendly. Some families will even put
you up for the night. I love Greece. Learn a bit of their language, and they love you for it.
Ritaki :)

There are many english going out of limits in Zakynthos night-life. Zakynthos has two very beautifull beaches on its northern part where sea turtles come to breed

I am more in love with the island of Ithaka. It can be seen from Zakynthos. It is 40km in the north and it has a few villagesby the sea and on the mountain. There are many small beaches with white pebles and light blue waters. My family is building a house there at the moment.Of course it is less big and crowded than Zakynthos.

Hello,

I`m Greek, what can I say? The most beautiful country in the world! :)
... also i was a pupil in a high school here, Polish people have Hellenic history about Greece, unfortunately not too much, also they learn only ancient history. When i tried to ask about modern history nobody did not tell me details. I always asked my mom (which is Greek), and she told me about history of Greece. I`m proud of my Greek roots :)

Best regards,
Aliki
