Does any one know how to send a SMS to Poland cell phone starting with 485.
485-000-00000
Which mobile company is this?
Are instructions available in English?
If not, what are the "steps" in Polish with english translation, of course
thanks very much!
ps: If not in English, would greatly appreciate step by step instructions in Polish

You got too many digits. To any cell in Poland you dial 011 48 + cell phone number without a zero, e.g.

011 48 608 XXX XXX

The same works for text messaging :)

Thanks for the correction. The number is probably 011-48-501-xxx-xxx.
Is it Orange/idea or ERA?
Could you please describe the necessary steps for sending SMS. Exact Polish words/phrases and the english translation of the same, please.
Thank you so much!

I think you're not totally clear here. Do you mean sending SMS via a cell phone (then it's just normal like sending to any network) or maybe sending the text message from internet?

it depends where in the world you are, if you're in Europe any Polish number starts with +48 or 0048 (doesn't matter which one you use), 011 is what you use if you're in the US i think. so for example, if you're in Europe, the number would look something like this 0048695738591. also you don't put any spaces or dashes when you type a number on your mobile, but im sure you know that lol.

how to SMS from the internet! thanks!

skype? i'm not sure if there are websites that allow you send txts to foreign mobile numbers...

Yes: honmaru.pl/forum/printview.php?t=650&start=0

Although it's a bit dated the layout is more or less the same and the language is the same.

If it is Orange, then you can do it directly from their site. Others sometimes say "message sent" when in fact it doesn't go through.

sms.orange.pl

I think its self explanatory once you look at it.

I think it's alright, not as simple as the old one though. You can tell they wanted it to look nice like Vista.

Yeah, I just didn't like the layout and only took a quick look at it, but I suspect I will have a look when I have more time to play with it.

But when you are using them all the time for your business you really haven't got too much time to play and learn ;0)

Wow! I can't imagine anyone wanting to use gadu-gadu for there business, I mean with all the outages and login problems.

I don't envy you! What exactly do you do that involves gg?

I have a translation company and I need to keep in touch with all my translators, using Gadu Gadu, skype, MMS messenger are on all the day, so I cannot play around with them too much.

I have only had one real issue in seven years of using gg when some hacker got in and started playing with all my contacts...nightmare day !!!!

Yes it is good, but it can only be used to send to Plus GSM phones (i.e. the ones starting 601, 603, 605, 607, 609, 691, etc)

Hello everyone, I am engaged to a wonderful young woman from Poland. I live in the USA, and we would like to communicate with our cell phones. Phone calls are prohibitively expensive, and for some reason our two networks will not share sms's. Does anyone know of an easy way to send text messages? I currently send sms's via this website- text.plusgsm.pl/sms/. Is there a way I can do this over my phone? Is there a way for her to do the same?

Thanks a bunch.

SMS and cell phone calls are the same no matter where you are. (you just choose to write in your language of choice but to send the technology is the same) International calls are 011 for overseas operator 48 for country code (Poland in this case) and your cell number after. It should be a total of 14 digits

Popems....have you tried Skype. You call using a computer to computer and it is free. If you have a webcam can see each other. Can't get better than that.
