What does Poland mean to you?

How are they not helped? They are often placed ahead of domestic Brits in the housing ladder, they get free English lessons paid for by British taxpayers and also have clearly signposted jobs for them to apply for.

We have also helped to facilitate the establishment of Polish agencies in certain cities. Integration crucially stems from acceptance and give/take. By staying in cliques, that doesn't help the process. Many Poles who have taken the step of integrating have seen positive results.

The more I watch, the more I see that many Poles are there for money. It's in every account. I have heard culture mentioned once and it was in passing. I am not being troll-like here, just realistic.

There are those professions that are better rewarded abroad such as the dentistry profession. It's logical to want to have the best conditions you can have.

Many British folk are resistant to change. The realities of the EU allow for such mass migration but they don't have to like it.

The Home Office keeps statstics on the number of migrants that come into the country and the number that leave each year. Apprently the number leaving has, for the first time, super-seeded the number entering. No country can take unlimted numbers of people for ever, because of course there is not the resorces, eg. the jobs, schools, housing etc. I just hope that the numbers don't keep increasing out ot control and that things will improve in Eastern and central europe, enough for people to stay. Thats not to say I don't think people should better their lives. As for staying just for money - thats not so practical these days, due to lack of work and poor econmic circumstances.

Poland also means some of the best home-made food in the world. My fiancee's mother was across today, supplying me with out-of-this-world soup and meat. Legendary!!

Poland, the meaning of...
Land of the Poles.

But someone seems to have stolen it from one of my maps. Luckily, before I posted this, another map turned up that looks a bit like the missing piece.

Most threads on here quickly become British v. (insert country).

Maybe with some clever modern technology, someone could insert Poland back into its correct place.
Inserting countries is never particularly easy, even with very small ones like Monaco or Liechtenstein.

  • Someone has stolen Poland

  • This looks a bit like a very simple map of Poland
