If you're hetero, I presume you are, you'll be seen as a freak, no matter you speak in a favour of homosexuals.

What planet are you from? He's a really nice guy

I'm a Labour throughout,I believe Gordon Brown is the right leader for Labour.

I wish the party shows him more support.

I do have Australian citizenship but do not vote in their elections.

im aware that you dont live in australia but our crazy country has this crazy notion that if you're a citizen then you are required to vote, if not then you get fined. and being out of the country is no excuse.

so i was more wondering if you had a trail of notices from the electoral offices floating somewhere.

I live in Norway, I am Norwegian if I voted becaouse of my Polish heritage I would been seen as worse then foreigners, a non-Norwegian foreigner with no connection or will of beeing in Norway.

I am fully pro-EU but I won't vote even if I could until Norway becomes part of the EU wich I doubt

Yes, I know about that law but as I am not now (and never have been) on the electoral roll in Australia there is no obligation for me to vote. It is not compulsory to enrol while you are living outside of Australia.

BTW: being outside Australia is a perfectly acceptable reason for not voting. The point is that you have to inform the AEC that you will be outside Oz, otherwise you will get fined for not voting.

i know i was able to get out of a fine when i was in the uk but my brother is doing some contract work and not even that seems to acceptable...or maybe he should lay off the drugs.

I feel very guilty for not voting but I didn't know who to vote for! Seems like the candidates from the parties I would eventually support didn't satisfy me as persons. Don't shout please, my parents have already given me the long and boring lesson ;-)

I voted

Same here.

Too bad most people didn't vote as posters in the thread below:

I voted, but I didn't know if I should or not. Mostly because the amount of money each party gets is based on the number of people who voted (in total, then divided based on the number of winners from each party). I don't think any party deserves any money.
