I'm interested to know what Poland - both the government campaign (if any) and individuals are currently doing or planning to do re. the above.
Climate change - what is Poland doing to reduce its carbon emissions?
Trying to eat less Bigos to control methane emissions

Are you serious? Poland is in EU and we have our limits straight from Brussels. UK got them too. Don’t you read papers?

Quite a lot really, my wife works for the Institute of Soil Science and Plant Cultivation – National Research Institute, Pulway, Poland, and she is a scientist conducting research into bio energy plants like Miscanthus (elephant grass) (Miscanthus x giganteus); Willow (Salix Viminalis), Sida hermaphrodita, along with oil seed rape for bio fuels. The main trouble that she has is founding, the Polish government wants to everything on a shoestring budget, so consequently everyone is frustrated, and the scientific work takes many years instead of a few years.
thanks for your response UKPolska.. I sympathise with the funding plight...often governments dont get their priorities right when it comes to spending money. Good luck to your wife, sounds like a commendable job. To the previous poster, I am aware that Poland is in the EU, but I wanted to know about things that are specific to Poland...even what actions individuals are taking or about any local campaigns to raise awareness.
Next year rape will become a decent commercial option for farmers.
By the way, eco-friendly as I am (and from times pre-dating the hysteria), I am not convinced by the climate-change fascists. Case definitely not proven. Even if it were proven, the money could easily be better spent elsewhere.
I will keep on taking planes for my holidays. Unlike other people, however, I won't be a hypocrite.

best not to believe the hype
gentlemen I am in the other camp I believe it could almost be too late, but lets not start a battle over it. But TheKruk has no car, I take fast and efficient Polish public transport.
well ok: Polish public transport.

Poland's emissions limits are quite low in light of the amount of construction required in the next 5 years. The cement-producing industry alone will produce loads of CO2. This is why eco-fascists abound in Western countries which don't need to develop massively. The older ones are usually failed nuclear disarmers, anti-whalers and suchlike. Anti-capitalists after the death of marxism.
I would like to take this opportunity to announce that, in line with the predictions of a certain climatologist called Dr Landscheidt, the long-term drought in the south Sahara has come to an end. He also forecast a downturn in temperatures globally starting in around 2010, hitting a minimum in 2030. Still, what did he know? He was the only one to keep on correctly predicting el Nino.

Poland is considering an EU sponsored law making farting a criminal offense as it increases green-house gasses & carbon emmisions.

I would have thought it better for them, to collectively harness the power and use it for energy, and therefore not be reliant on the Russians for their fuel !!!!
Lol.....:)
