The question is though,as stupid and offensive to some as his remarks were, were they said in private
No they were not. They were said at an official dinner for TVP representatives and INPUT representatives. There were some 40 people around the table.
Is this man in his day to day working life on a Polish TV station really going to affect the working lives or employment prospects of many/any people of African descent? It would be different in a more "multicultural " sociaty but in a 99% white one, whats the biggie?
The biggie is that he's made Poland look like what it isn't: a nation of bigots.
I haven't seen you atacing so strong Daily Mail which was openly anty Polish or journalist form The Times (Giles Coren) calling Poles Fu**ing Polacks ...
I personally exposed a Daily Mail scam (and made sure that the story got into national media in the UK) which was aimed at proving Poles went to the UK and broke British law. To prove this they proposed to pay Poles money to go to the UK and break British law. I've also repeated written newspaper columns attacking The Daily Mail's attitude to Poles. Giles Cohen is a racist ars*hole who needs shooting.
Why don't you move to Israel?
Because there are far too many unpleasant people living there. And I wouldn't get a visa either: they only give visas to Jews.
Back to the topic, Farfal's comment was racist but these sorts of things happen everywhere, unfortunately.
Everywhere? Name three other directors of national public broadcasters who have done the same. Just three. Should be easy given that you have about 180 to choose from.
Though you have to admit, South Africa is one big mess.
That it is. And getting more so by the day.
