On a Average does anyone know how much the tourism has increased/decreased
say in the last 5 years?

reason for asking, is ancestry has become a major business here as well as
Poland . many are finding ways to visit Poland and their perspective families.

unfortunately, none of us young ones could afford to visit. but, you know, it would
be interesting if say during spring break they all flew to Poland for the week.

its all hot weather Parties, like florida, aruba, hawaii, etc.

Not sure, but will look into it. its not the flight only, its the whole trip per say, plus
spending money. ya cant go somewhere without it. plus, I am sure I would myself
go to a club. <~that is where i would probably lose most cash, as I tend to have to
much fun .

Hi Patrycja

Are you really thinking of flying to Poland next year? Do you know which city/town?

I am also planning to go next year, would be great if we could meet up somewhere.

I read somewhere on another of your posts that you like clubbing, do you mean disco clubs or something else?

It would be nice to meet up and perhaps go to a club etc together, btw don't be alarmed I am a strnager but not a total stranger, you know me from another forum..

PS. Ignore the avatar, I don't really look like that :)

Right now it's about $800.00 but prices change when it's off season.

I was in Poland in October 2005 for two-and-a-half weeks. I'm in my 40ies (late 40ies - god it hurts to say that). I spent some time by myself in Warsaw and later joined a tour led by Orbis from Warsaw. Out of about 40 people, I was the only Canadian, and the only one of non-Polish descent. Most travelled often to Poland as tourists and some were there for the first time. It seemed to be a pilgrimage for them in a way. I don't have any statistics on tourism but it seemed on the rise. Hotels were sprouting up in downtown Warsaw and I often hear of other Canadians increasingly interested in Poland as a tourist destination. I did my bit selling it to every one I spoke to.

Yes, that's a good point. Especially when talking about organized tours.

I just paid $720 for a round trip in Dec-Jan. When I was there in July I paid almost double. Like Krysia said...it's seasonal.

..... and it's too bad our dollar is losing value. It's only at 3.01. I'm hoping that it'll go back up in January.
