Engineers build train tunnel in Warsaw too small for trains...

Bungling engineers have been left red-faced after building a railway tunnel that's too small for trains to actually fit through.

The costly mistake was only discovered when inspectors measured the finished tunnel in the Polish capital, Warsaw, and realised the roof was so low that no trains would get under it.

I hope they don't have the same guys in charge for the Euro 2012...

At least they figured it out before a train went hurtling down at 60 mph.

Result IMO

We have a tunnel to take trucks away from Dublin, but the supertrucks can not fit in it. Thought it was just Ireland.

Aww this happens all the time - engineers are human, they make little mistakes when adding their sums up...
When the tram lines were being built in Dublin it was discovered that the gauges of the tracks were different. That was an expensive mistake, not as bad as a tunnel though :)

We have a tunnel to take trucks away from Dublin, but the supertrucks can not fit in it.

That was done on purpose. The city policy makers decided that they didn't want supertrucks in the city at all.

TRAINING, yes...very good...Now, the Warsaw Metro was built, and the tunnels were big enough, correct?...was that a Polish of foreign engineering firm that built that?

Actualy with the dublin tunnel, i think the decision to ban super trucks was taken when they discovered the tunnel was too small.
Though, i know it took an age to build and loadsa cash, but it is quite impressive now that it is finished.

Actually I heard that the tunnel was built like It should be but they bought too high trains... still ridiculous and somebody should be crushed for that...

euro 2012? Entire motorway network built in 3.5 years? Updated rail network in 3.5 years?

How hard can building a motorway which doesn't subside after 2 years?

European cup 2012? More chance in finding an everlasting oil reserve on the moon.

If it's anything like the UK, the person responsible will have got a lovely big bonus and is now in charge of another large profitable (for his company of course) project :))))

Are the Freemasons active in Poland?

When driving to Gdansk last weekend there was an awful lot of people in protective clothing just standing around pointing at things.
