I guess all cities in Poland are facing the same problems as the emmigration is a nationwide phenomenon. Even if you managed to find official statistics I doubt they'd be true - to my knowledge no plausible record of people who work abroad is kept.

Nobody...knows.......isn't that great that your government ( unlike the previous puppet regime) which so long treated the population as miscreants and those to be abused....don't really know, where you are, what you are doing, who you are talking too...etc......

F-R-E-E-D-O-M..........spell it out and shout it out........

If they ask....tell them to whistle in the wind..........you belong to to no-one.....nor anybody, or system, or anything...fullstop!

You just know there are hundreds of old polish women in old brown walled offices somewhere trying to make the numbers add up and they never will.

Payback for all their timewasting bloody annoying power hungry games....... I LIKE IT TOO :)

From my observation generally Eastern Poland. While I was in the UK I met a lot of people from Rzeszów and it's surroundings. But these are only my observations not backed with any data.

thanks - thats interesting and ties in with the forecasted property boom in rzeszow...

... that said... i am getting the feeling that people from the same area in poland are ending up in the same area in england... obvious reasons being friends/contacts/support network etc...

... where were you in england Mat?

London, Muswell Hill. Very nice neighborhood. They even have a Pub in a ex-Church building! Felt definitely strange at the beginning, but after few pints everything came back to normal! :) :)

Ha, the world is so small. :) I was buying food at the Sainsburys, alcohol from those Pakistani twins and were living at Princess Avenue. :) I miss this place. :(

I'm an Irish man living in South Poland. I know that Ireland, England, and Germany have many Pols working there, but from what I've come to understand is that most return to Poland with their wages for their family or investments. Things are a lot cheaper here, and there seems to be plenty of young people about. So what's the worry?

If you both lived there 2-3 years ago, maybe we even passed by each other, hehehe... The world is so small. :)

Eastern Poland has lost the most people IMO. I spent much of my time in PL in krakow, czestochowa, and wroclaw (family). I also went to eastern PL (NE of bialystock) to our family's cottage where i noticed that all the young people in the area went to the UK. In the past there were hundreds that gathered at a diskoteka in the village in the evenings - last year it was closed:(
