Andrzej Zbigniew Lepper, born on the 13 of June 1954 in Stowięcin, in Słupsk district of Poland. Polish politician and the leader of Samoobrona Party, Polish Sejm deputy of 4th and 5th cadence. From the 5th of May 2006 do 22nd of September 2006 the Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Development in Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz’s government and then in Jarosław Kaczyński’s government. From 1977 to 1980 a member of PZPR, later organized Agricultural Trade Union Samoobrona, initially linked with farmers who were unable to pay off their bank debts. During Sejm elections in September 1993 Samoobrona gained 2,78% of votes, in 1997 elections “Samoobrona Alliance” gained 0,08% of votes. In 1995 elections Andrzej Lepper ran for the seat of the President of Polish Republic, gaining 1,32% of votes; in 2005 elections he gained 3,05% of votes. After parliamentary elections in September 2001, in which Samoobrona received 10,2 % of votes, Lepper became a 4th cadence Sejm deputy.

He became the Sejm Chairman but just at the end of November 2001 was exempted from his duties. In 2002 he was appointed a member of Sejm committee for state control. In January 2005 entered the constitutional liability committee. On the 23rd of April 2005 he declared his access into presidential elections in 2005; elected for 5th cadence Sejm from Koszalin district with 33 535 votes. On 26th of October 2005 appointed as Sejm Chariman Deputy; his candidacy was controversial although thanks to support of Prawo i Sprawiedliwość he was finally accepted as a member of the lower chamber of Polish Parliament. He had held this office until the 9th of May 2006 when he was appointed as the Prime Minister Deputy. Andrzej Lepper placed his candidacy in presidential elections on behalf of Samoobrona of Polish republic. He was supported by Center of Scandalous Information, Slavic Forum, National Workers Front, Andrzej Lepper Foundation “Samoobrona for the Children”, National Association for Protection of Polish Meat Industry, Lewica Narodowa, Youth Association of Patriotic Organizations, Polish Youth Samoobrona Organization, National Party, and Trade Union of Samoobrona. His election campaign office was registered on the 8th of August 2005. He ended his participation in the first round with the result of 2 259 094 votes (15,11%) and gained third place. He issued and appeal to his electorate to give votes to Lech Kaczyński in the next round.

On the 5th of May, after Samoobrona had entered governmental coalition with Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, Lepper was appointed as Prime Minister Deputy and the Minister of Agriculture and Agricultural Development, in the government of Kazimierz Marcinkiewicz and later of Jarosław Kaczyński. On the 22nd of September Lepper was dismissed from his ministerial post by Lech Kaczyński, the President. Andrzej Lepper gained his popularity in spring of 199 after organizing roads blockades, pouring off grain and encouraging framers not to pay off their bank debts as a protest against European agricultural policy. In the party he presides, he runs authoritarian leadership, without opposition.

His political program and image is based on total negation of the achievements of Polish governments after 1989. his well known slogan is “Balcerowicz must go” and “ Others has reigned and robbed Poland.” His program is seen by many as populist and economically unrealistic. He is also known for his notorious and controversial public speeches. Disliked and criticized by many, he is at the same time a person who has his own opinion and political reason in many controversial issues. He is known as the one and only Polish politician consequently opposed to interfering of Poland into American global wars and military actions, being in opposition against international policy of Polish Republic, including Jarosław Kaczyński’s government.

Mr. Lepper and the other member of his party has just been accused of employing women in exchange for… sex.

Is he a typical Polish politician?

ok u tell me one man in this world who dont like sex?
unless he lives in the artic circle and its cold all the time, there is going to be
sex scandals in every politician's career. some we just dont hear about cause they
probably paid someone off to stay quiet!

as for Clinton, to tell you the truth, I wish he was still president, whatever was going
on with monica, who cares, he did some good here, so if this guy is having sex
well, hopefully hes not using the govt's budget, otherwise, if he is good, then
who cares about the other stuff.

I can see if hes lying , laundering money, etc etc.

the only part I would worry about is if he or any other politician was looking at
porno's of children, then yes, hang emm! <~thats sick, that means get him to
a psych doc asap! lock him up.

every politician has to bear all, yes they should, but really does his personal sex
life really mean that much to anyone if he does good for the country?
as long as its of some normal male tendencies<~not man bashing, but really
Hilliary Clinton looks like she might run for president in 2008 and I really hate to
see what the media will do to her if she goes out for coffee with tony blair or
someone from her staff. The Media get really ugly.

yes they should

Be honest was the left out line.

he has gained too much political power for some, so an easy way to get rid of him is to accuse him of the above.

That has happened before with other men in powerful places. Perhaps he was set up.
Is that typical of Polish politicians - it's typical of some politicians regardless their nationality.
I think it' s a part of a bigger scheme and there has been a lot of power struggle in polish government, since Kwasniewski left his post as a president.

But come on - it's Poland, not the US. Poland should be more conservative and people are generally more conservative than in the US. When Lepper's colleague's wife (whose husband is accused of having sex and a child with her employee) was asked what she thinks about that, she replied something like "Wow, he's so old but still can... do it with a woman?". It's like Jerry Springler's show...

Why does Poland always takes the worst from the West?

Or even worse - in the US the law is executable. In Poland, you pay and you can do whatever you want.

Most Polish voters are very strong-opinionated, uneducated, and naive at the same time that they have allowed people like Lepper govern their country for so long.

Andrzej Lepper - is he a typical Polish politician?

He's apparently not because he's out of Sejm now and faces multiple charges (will probably go to jail...).

Replace word "Polish" by any other nation and word "Lepper" by similar kook and you would be still correct. Lack of Lepper's means that election ordination simply "protect" such society from smaller parties.
