Are Polish men different depending on what region they're from?

Okay here's the deal, I dated a Polish guy not last year, year before he was from Gdynia and the most wonderful guy you could meet, funny inteligent good conversation pretty laid back and a complete gentleman....yet I went on a date with a guy on Monday night he was from Pozan and he was so far up his own ar*e, he'd played profession basket ball blah blah blah and was a little bit too serious and banged on about how wonderful Polish men were, definately no modesty there then!....I didnt mention I had already had a relationship with a Polish guy as it's just not the done thing to start mentioning x's on a date, I just wondered if guys were so different depending on region, like in England - north v south difference...

I'm from Western Pomerania and we are the best.

No we dont have a North-South war. But the Polish Kibice(soccer hooligans) from each town get into big fights with each other when their teams are playing one another. And some people might carry that over outside just the field and hate a certain region becaue of their team.

There's a general difference in ppl's attitudes between east and west of Poland, I guess I've already mentioned it. Of course within these groups and smaller regions you can always find gentlemen and animals.

Now thats funny he was quite adamant that guys from Pozan were the best, I think you're probably right judging by his company though....:) His main topic was him, him, him oh and him and basket ball...he'd be great on Mastermind!

Cheers B, but it was a chance meeting on a night out and he seemed really nice, one to one he was a bit lacking

There are some differences. I met few guys from Warsaw and they were bit cocky.I suppose in the south we are more laid back....

Oh, yes, Warsaw is a special case, a region in itself. I suppose you can tell the same about Londoners. Those who were born there are proud and those who came along recently try even harder...

He was as Iwona said a bit cocky, within 10 minutes of sitting down he had said that most Polish people in England were stupid and most English people were not very inteligent, yes he was more polite when pointing this out, he gave various examples, one being that most people in England dont know they live on a Island....I dont want to sound rude toward him but his jobs hardly put in contact with people who are exactly the sharpest pencils in the box, aparently someone in the UK had asked if there were many Polar Bears left in Poland...LOL.....he was very derogetory toward Poland, its very grey and boring yet in the UK its very colourful (he was referring to clothing), I just smiled politly at his comments since I couldnt be bothered to start knitpicking by saying I thought he was talking sh*t since I have visited Poland twice and thought that the people and clothes were very nice...oh yes he said that Polish people dont know how to mix because in England people go out and strike up conversations with strangers (hmmm I think that has something to do with being slightly tipsy), I didnt bother mentioning that both times in Poland I had, had the pleasure of mixing with the natives or maybe I just couldnt get a word in edgeways! Dispite his very good looks I would rather walk over hot coals than go out with him again...

I had a date like that before I was married. I can absolutly agree , but he was
American, actually Malta , he was very nice, but so into himself , looking in the
mirror so much, I figured I would stop at a dollar store and buy him one so he could
star at himself all nite so I could go have some real fun.. lol.

Not really, I think that it really depends on person.In general in pubs after few drinks English are quite outgoing and chatty.....

Sober....it depends on curcumstances, place.....
