Wigilia Greetings - When is the best time to send them?

I want send someone Wigilia greetings by text. I want to be the first to send, but is it customary to wait until the evening? When do most people sit down to the Wigilia feast?

I believe it is when the first star in the sky is spotted this evening.

What if it's cloudy? :)

In the evening I think. I'm not sure about the greetings. I have had a lot of texts from Polish friends already and it's just noon.

It would be rude of them to leave the table during the Wigilia supper and start making calls and send SMS, so they have to do it before the evening :)

Purely out of interest, what is the earliest time PF members have started Wigilia supper?

young married couples might have to visit both sets of parents. So they will start late afternoon/early evening.

Some shopworkers are just getting home now. (Biedronka closed at 4:00pm)

The answer is: around four or five. (my guess)
