What about the Language Pub in Sopot ?

I moved here to Gdansk (Wrzeszcz) not long ago to give it a try for a year to see if I like it, but do miss the chat of a british tounge.

took me a good time to learn the pronunciation of wrzeszcz... had to get my train ticket to zaspa or wherever and then get off early...

language pub will show the football for sure - plenty of welcoming ex-pats to share a drink and a chat with

whereabouts in wrzeszcz do you work? i'm in one of the polytech buildings - husband works up the street beside the station.

p.s. have you found the library above Aleppo yet? they have some english books - easy to join too.

If you cannot find anywhere then try this.

If you have fast enough internet speed you can watch it online by going and downloading "sopcast". Once you have installed it go to here .myp2p.eu/Other.htm which has a complete list of all the football matches and what software you need to watch it, and the best thing is that it is free. :o)

Go to see matches in the Tri-city their are two major stadiums one in Gdynia and one in Gdansk. People always prattle on about hooligans etc. but I'd ignore it, its like going to a go old second division match :]. I went last Sunday and end up right next to another English chap completely random.
