Poles with white blonde (platinum) hair

When I was in college, a group of Special Olympics athletes from Poland stayed at my college. What was very unusual about them was that quite a few of them had white blonde (the lightest blonde possible) hair and the most beautiful ice blue eyes ever. Hair of that color is extremely rare here in the US. Are there a lot of poles with that color hair? It is so beautiful.

For me, red heads tend to be either drop dead gorgeous or just the opposite. There doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground.

there is more brunettes i would say, but the ice blue eyes are the sexiest thing
