There is sth cool about the hooded look. It does smack of being neddish but, hey, let labels be labels. I have a kickass GAP top which I love. I never wear it to work but it's good for jogging (which I never do, LOL).

-__-;
something tells me I'll be in for a major depression upon moving there. My cousins can all pass for models and beyond the height difference (5'4") I'm on the hefty side >_<

The lables that are popular in Poland.Tommy Hilfinger.Hugo Boss.Replay.BenettonFCUK.Morgan.

I've been to a few shopping centres and never came across Tommy Hilfinger or FCUK store...

People in Poland wear more or less the same stuff as everywhere else :-) But, comparing Poland to UK, I've noticed that Polish women generally wear more subdued colours, less flashy patterns and are better at wearing proper clothes to their sihouette. You don't get a lot of muffin tops in the summer.

As far as lumpexes are concerned, there are some shops that sell smelly rags, and there are some better ones, with nice clothes in very good condition. The latter are a perfect place for those who don't want look everyone else shopping in chain stores. The only alternative to get something original is DIY... The only problem with lumpexes is that it requires a lot of searching to get cool stuff.

i think that this whole discussion doesn't make sense at all. in most european cities people dress more or less the same way.
nowadays among polish teenagers the most popular clothing item are nike or converse shoes, or for girls: ballet flats. guys tend to wear la coste/ hilfiger/hugo boss shirts or polo-shirts and really dark jeans. girls wear dark skinny jeans and slack tunics or dresses and leggins.

women wear skirts or dresses, but the most common clothing is again skinny jeans or any other type of jeans. high jeels are very popular. flip-flops are a rare view.

as it comes to casual clothing lots of men wear shirts, elegant jackets and casual trousers for example jeans.
shoes, bags and all the accessories are a very important part of your look.
so, that's how it is in Warsaw.
in Kraków people try to wear clothes that match their personality, they have their unique (not to say weird) style.
as far as i'm concerned in poland it's like that: the bigger the city, the better the style. :)

I noticed that in Poland - and Europe in general - man wear shirts with collars a lot while in US and Canada those are rare. They are almost exclusively T-shirts types. My hubby has a lot expensive Italian shirts but they are in boxes in the cedar closet as he refuses to wear them here in Canada. We are taking them out only when we go to Europe.
