Polish people are miserable. Never smile, not friendly at all. They don't like English people much, just come for money...

I put a profile on the dating site. One in Polish and one in English. I got alot of responses from the Polish one and none from the English one. Just go's to show, Polish people only date their own. How inbreed and stupid is that?

Your experience, not mine though. Maybe its because I'm goodlooking and dont have to use websites to meet women.

Heh heh heh. Spot on, mister. Let me throw in my chip here by saying that I've had good conversations with all Polish people I've met. They're nice, well mannered and intelligent people.

Wroclaw Boy... I think he said from an earlier post he was from Romania Muppet!!.....

Are you making derogatory comments about Romanians?

edit: If the (temporary) county of Avon never existed, I would have been born in Somerset, so what are you saying about one of England's finest counties?

Try not to talk so much nonsense. Do you live in Crewe?

The "locals"? Or you and your pals?

I'm not talking nonsense....No i don't live in Crewe but some of my workmates do....So i know the local gossip?.......All you have to do is to look at most of them to know they are not this Polish myth that you all seem to have i.e......Highly Educated....Blah Blah etc!!

Who the hell is Isiol?
Why are you here, by the way?

I thought Isiol was you?.....So what does it mean?......and why shouldn't i be here?

Not many of them will be highly educated, but that doesn't make them:

w*nkers

Are all the so-called native people of Crewe highly-educated and therefore not w*nkers?

Isiol

OJ Graham?

and why shouldn't i be here?

I was interested to read an answer rather than just another question.
You seem to have bad things to say about Polish people. Anything positive from your experience?

I think that the Polish members of this site have lots of nice things to say about the people who do not constantly put Polish people down...

Like what?
That I'm from Saturn?
That I can speak 99 and a half words of Polish (or couldn't you read that?)
Or did I stop saying that my interests include playing the guitar?

but i seem to remember your a Brit

I make no secret of being English.

but your willing to slag us off no end?..

No more than anyone else.

Why is that?

I slag people off who make comments that group people together in ways that suggest nationality dictates personal opinion, level of intelligence and so on. I make plenty of positive comments about British people. Care to read any of them? It's just that people who come into this site with pathetic, simplified opinions about Polish people (that's just the most relevant example to this site) do not get such favourable comments from me.

What drew you to this forum? I am asking you again.

Shut up you muppet

This person tells me to shut-up, but they do not disagree with what I say - interesting! Well I asked a few polish people on these sites, they are here 'to meet polish people' Why don't they stay in POland then? We don't want ghettoisation. I am from Romania and quite franky I am disspointed with the Polish attitude. Romanians (a) like the English (b) socialise with them and want to be part of their culture. The Poles could learn from us.... Poles should b e more liberal in their thinking. London is crawling with Polish people, now its time for them to make more efforts or return.

God bless you, osiol.

And you, ajgraham, if you want to learn about Poland and her history, I recommend books by the great British historian Norman Davies, such as 'God's Playground. A History of Poland' (regarded by many as the best history of Poland in English), and 'Rising 44' (about the Warsaw Rising). How about visiting Poland? Is your lorry in good workin' order?

I am not here to condemn Polish people, I am just suggesting that if they want to succeed in England and be accepted (rather than on the margins of society) Mabey be more liberal and open minded... Its some advise from England. The English appreciate that extra bit of effort by migrants.

Puzzler should appreciate the Romanian viewpoint, as we (the Romanians) are migrants too and are in the same boat as Poles.

- So the Poles allegedly don't make 'the extra bit of effort'? And you, in your opinion, surely do it? Wow, you must be a whiz kid indeed.

Thanks for your 'advise,' but it's not really solicited.

The more so because you've been proven seriously wrong when you rambled about the alleged inferiority of Poles to Hungarians and Czechs in UK, remember?

Hence you don't seem to be an authority on Poles in UK.

By the way, pal, do any one of us goes to a Romanian forum and preaches to the participants on how they should act in UK or elsewhere?

Puzzler should appreciate the Romanian viewpoint

- Do you call your viewpoint 'the Romanian viewpoint? Meaning you're speaking on behalf of all Romanians? If so, how can I appreciate it - it's so negative towards us? I wouldn't want to be with somebody like this in the same boat. ;)

Come on, stop trying to lift your self-esteem at our expense, UKIGUY.

for sure, however, most of them are guest workers and if they are not planning to settle down in England, they will not make the effort.

Since you are immigrant yourself, you know what challanges one faces when living in a different country. I have yet to recall an ex-pat who didn't express his/her frustration while living in Poland. Some people are more flexible than others.

Well anyway, I won't offer my advice again. I don't care what you do. You shouldn't take my opinions as condemnation, because I have lived in the UK a long time and now something about British culture. Why is it so critical to state some cases, whereby there isn't alot of integration? You haven't denied this to be the case at all.

I have said to many polish people "do you want a drink?" Do you want to play pool with us? Do you want to come to our house? But in my case they said no they prefer to be with polish people. Mabey I just asked the wrong people. But its often been a common trend, in my experience. Well its o.k. If you like to stay with your own - fine! Its your preogatives. Its your rights. But just don't blame me for being unfriendly or hostile (or other British people for that mater).

Amen

No, but then there are not a million Romanians in the UK or Czechs etc. It only POles that can't get in to the UK fast enough.

Probably not the right place to post but here goes. I work in an enviroment that must be approximately staffed by 60% Polish citizens, that is understandable as the factory enviroment is not particulary a pleasant one and going by what I have heard British people have been very reluctant to work there over the years hence the fact that agency workers have been brought in. I have always considered myself a reasonably easy going person and had no problem chatting away to Polish nationals (obviously due to my lack of Polish they had to speak English to some degree for a conversation to occur) and with some that I had close contact with have indulged in many an interesting chat and indeed a great laugh. The problem that started to annoy me a few months ago and unfortunately something that still annoys me is that when I am having a chat with a Polish person if another Polish person comes along they just start chatting away to the person I was talking to and that person just ignores me and starts chatting with their fellow Pole, I have to admit that this happens on several ocassions every day and there is never any indication that they are apologising for interupting an ongoing conversation, what I am wondering is if this is "normal" practise for Polish nationals whereas If I were to interupt a conversation I would apologise for doing so or wait until a gap in the chat but I don't get any indication that I am receiving an apology for having my chat interupted. Unfortunately this had blighted my chats with several Polish nationals that I enjoyed talking with as I considered it just bad manners, despite my attempts to describe that I thought it was rude behaviour to the people I was talking to they seemed to either not understand my explanation or chose not to. The enviroment I work in is quite clearly segregated and there is a lot of animosity towards the migrant workers, something I have attempted to steer clear off but when telling British people about the interupting episodes I was told "well what do you expect from the likes of them" this is not the way I want to be but maybe our different manner rules will be a problem in some instances. There is also a lot of dislike towards the British from Polish so it's not just a one way thing. I also work with several openly gay people and there is clearly a problem with Polish people not accepting their lifestyle and making it obvious with snide remarks, something that unfortuntely again has not endeared Polish to British, is it considered "ok" for Polish to have unfavourable views about homosexuality or it is just a personal view (as it can be with any nationality) any feedback would be gratefully received, thanks

If the length of your post, with no breaks, is indicative of the way you hold a conversation, you probably don't know when to stop talking.............the person you are talking at is probably being recued by the other person.
