This tradition is still very strong in Poland, so if you ask about older generation then my answer is definitely yes.

Thank you for an honest answer! I had asked a few other questions in the culture section and had gotten a joke for a responce. I am hoping to be married soon and would like Polish tradition inour lives as we are both distant descendts(sp) of Poland.

huh? i haven't seen a serious question from you so i am not sure what you're talking about. hmm

older generation? how about all generations. it's a popular thing in PL. it is populat in the USA too although totally different. it's much more of an art form in PL while it's not at all so in the usa.
