Is Dining Out Popular in Poland?

Home cooking and family meals are a big deal in Poland.
That's how I remember that.

Has anything changed during last few years?

Do only foreigners dine out? How about Poles in Poland?

Folks with money dine out. I don't know how often though.
Sushi Bars seem to be in fashion at the moment.

sushi is quite pricey everywhere, isn't it?

i've always eaten dinners at home... and i've usually got some zapiekanka, burger, kebab, obważanek - grab and go style - during the busy day...

when i was going out with friends, it was a bar plus beer and not a dinner....

I'd never eat at the sushi bar here, pure extortion. I think fast food culture is more prominent in Poland but it just depends on where u r. There are those in Kraków and Warsaw that fall into the trap of thinking they can dine out frequently. I wouldn't say it was popular like in Italy for example

Aren't you even going to cook it first?

It is in Wroclaw. But the Sushi bars in Wroclaw are often full.

There are many restaurants in Wroclaw serving a variety of food. Times are a changing.
I'm happy to spend money on good food about once a month. Not sushi though.
As you would expect, most people dining out are couples.

Thats what Ive seen. Polish people like to make their own food.

How are you btw, warm down there still?

I have to disagree with this somewhat. Twenty years ago there were very few quality restaurants. Now they are all over the place. Some places you have to wait for a seat or book in advance.

A glimpse at the listings for any city will show what's on offer. Regardless of home cooked food, people do dine out. More than they ever did.

It is a sign of the positive economy.
