I know a lot of polish guys who are heavy drinkers...i just wanted to get some clarity as to whether polish men find it acceptable for women to drink socially in Poland...reason i ask is that i may have ruined a date by getting drunk and sick with a polish guy so just curious

What would be your definition of being drunk? Feeling dizzy and saying silly things, or rather felling nauseous and walking on your knees? :)

It’s a very individual thing, but I think there’s nothing to worry about. I certainly wouldn’t think of such behavior as unacceptable. :)

I would ask yourself if it is acceptable for a guy to get extremely drunk and sick while you are on a date with him. Drinking socially and getting so drunk that you get sick are two different things. It's my own personal opinion, but getting extremely drunk shows a lack of respect for oneself and others. I'm not judging because I have been in that predicament myself (more times than I care to remember) and it's not a good feeling. I'm someone whom alcohol does not agree with, so I don't indulge anymore. If it's a onetime thing, and you have a solid friendship with this guy, I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. We all make mistakes. Just learn from the experience and move on!:)
