Orginally It was probably Plus but now you can change the operator and keep the same number, so you can't be sure.

Visit the websites of T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone and O2. All of them will have details of their available packages/benefits.

I think Vodafone is the best one. It has the widest coverage and is the biggest in Europe, as far as I know. They are also the most expensive, unfortunately.

M-G (has Vodafone)

Yeah I'm on a tight budget. Do I have to sign up for a fixed contract with all of them?
I have my own phone.

O2 online pay as you go. i think if you top up £10 a month you get 300 or 500 free text's which also you get O2 treats so when you top up you can win free stuff! i have this and use it in Poland with no problems... were ever ive been in the world ive always had great signal

No, each offers a non contract package/s or pay as you go schemes. Each provider has different benefits. I.E. certain number of free SMS's, cheap calls abroad, free calls to certain numbers etc. You will just need to see which is best for you.

You will be able to go into most mobile phone shops and buy a pre-paid SIM card for your chosen network.
