The racist stereotype that Poles are intellectually inferior or have subhuman intelligence came from Nazi German propaganda and Soviet propaganda.

It's a typical tactic employed by the mediocre against something that has the potential to be outstanding. This has happened to myself many a times. They try to psyche us out with the BS because they know we are destined to greater things and they can't stand this because they realize they will be left in the dust of our pounding hoofprints as we stampede on to our preordained glory. The lower can always tell when someone is better so they devise such tactics and accutely use them. Strategically, they know exactly where to strike. True, they are button pushers. Such are the ways of the weaker among us.

Ironically, Left-wing Hollywood and the TV Networks (like NBC-TV) pushed these racist Polish “jokes” even though they claimed to hate Nazis. Hollywood and NBC-TV evidently hate Nazi propaganda but not when its applied to Poles. Hollywood and Network-TV (NBC) have a deep hatred for Anti-communist, Pro-American, Pro-Catholic Poland.

I haven't really noticed a lot of that. There was the cold war and red scare. Americans think Catholicism is creepy because of Saints and the Pope, but beyond that, there isn't a deep seated hatred of Poland. In fact, many of Polish descent have thrived in the movie business over here. I heard stupid Polish jokes in school. It's not that I can't take a joke. I just can't take a stupidly retarded pathetically redundant one and most Polish jokes are like that. They have no wit to them. They aren't that funny and the ear heaves a heavy sigh at hearing one.

Many Polish Americans who lived before this time have reported that they never heard these racist jokes until AFTER they were introduced by Left-Wing networks like NBC-TV in conjunction with Hollywood. NBC-TV launched Polish-bashing shows such as “Laugh In” which ridiculed Polish people constantly. In addition late night bigots were encouraged to bash Poles with “jokes” that portrayed the Polish people as having subhuman intelligence. Therefore the power of Television and motion pictures was used to demean Polish people with repetitive big lie type propaganda.

Aaah. You are talking about some ancient show on NBC. Laugh IN was before my time so I don't remember it. All In The Family was another one but at least Mike was always berating Archie and was actually much more logical and intelligent too. Mike was the true star of All In The Family and successfully exposed Archie as the idiot he was.

Things have changed tho. Not nearly so much of it is un PC. Do you remember Richard Pryor? He was pretty bad too. Things was once pretty ugly.

ORIGIN of Polish “jokes” came from Nazi German propaganda that was then pushed by Soviet communist sympathizers in Hollywood.

c'mon guys, why the hell you take it that serious?
When someone is making jokes about you keep loughing with him and I bet he'll quit sooner or later or just walk away from it if it pi**es you off so bad. I mean you can't stop it anyway.

The recent movie “Katyn” shows the German Nazis and Soviets killing the educated Polish class in Poland in order to make Poland “intellectually inferior” and easier to rule. This was during the time Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia were collaborating with each other to destroy Poland as per their Molotov-Ribbentrop pact to destroy Poland together.

That's because they knew how smart we are. We are way smarter than them and they knew it, got scared and ganged up. It's disgusting! A revolting part of human nature. The weak get together to destroy the strong. Happens over and over.

c'mon guys, why the hell you take it that serious?

Tell a joke about gays.
Tell a joke about lesbians.
Tell a joke about single moms, preferably with a few kids, each of different race.
Tell a joke about a woman's body in the office.
Tell a joke about blacks in public.
Tell a joke about handicapped persons.
Tell a joke about a Jew i Auschwitz.

In the US any of those would be treated very seriously, they could easily lead to lawsuits, and if you're in any position of substance your career would be pretty much over. They'd rip you apart.

Jokes often have a purpose other than just humor. They can be, and have been a powerful political tool to shape public opinion in support of wretched policies.

When you consider that someone suffered unfairly you'll be likely to feel sympathy to them. But if they are stupid then their suffering acquires a comical tone, and therefore is perceived as irrelevant. What comes to the fore that they are stupid and funny, not that they suffer.

That's how the English got away with abusing generations of the Irish "drunks".

WWII. A Jew, a Gypsy and a Pole escaped a concentration camp. Two guys from SS with German shepherd dogs are hunting them at night in the woods.

The three escapees found some trees with low branches, so they climbed them and hid in the crowns. The dogs lead the Germans to the trees and stopped under them, moving around and barking, but it was too dark to see the fugitives.

Suddenly the wind blew harder, moved the trees and the Jew lost his balance, and made a lot of noise slipping off the branch.
'What was that?' shouted an SS-mann.
The Jew hooted, and the German said: "Oh, it's just an owl".
Yet, the dogs kept walking around the trees and barking, so the Germans did not go away.
The Gypsy lost his balance and made some noise.
'Hey, there really is something in those trees!' said the other German.
The Gypsy cawed.
'No, it's just some crow. The dogs must have woken it". said the German.
Finally, the Pole lost his balance. The whole tree shook.
"Moooooooh" belowed the Pole...
